WD 1tb raptor
Pros: Timely plannedemic shipping not withstanding from other than the egg. Waited a long time for this 'special'. This makes about #14 WD Raptor purchased. Except for an ssd there is probably no better on the market....still using a variety of 75-500gb WDs purchased over the past 20 years. Only two have ever failed. Read many reviews about how it could be used/refurbed. Well it may be 4/15 manufacture but arrived in OEM packing (ie plastic end caps, factory seal static bag). Looks puuurtee new to me.
Cons: There are no cons - after all it's Western Digital.
Overall Review: as above
Harummph ! Not 4 MSI K9N Diam
Pros: Looks good ...
Cons: "...fits most boards" - well, a MSI K9N Diamond ain't 1 of 'em. DIMM retention clips wont hold as they are not right angled for a grip. Unit appears to sit well high off the memory and even if it did afix to the DIMMs the screws provided do not fasten into the fan unit itself -No wonder it is said that 'it rattles' and is otherwise noisy - so would you be if not properly retained.
Overall Review: Overall, CHEE ZEE
Aluminum 4 Port USB C HUB,
Pros: Not exactly what I wanted but that is my mistake. I'll find a use for it one day. The vlue isn't enough to warrant a RMA.
Overall Review: Good if you want to charge your VZ cell phone
Very good On A Budget choice
Pros: Never thought I'd buy a Seagate anything. Good deal for the price. Looks sleek and slim. Shortened Back Up times but nothing will spiritually totally replace my 10k RPM WD Raptors except SSD.
Cons: Agonizingly lengthened boot times until finding video on adjusting buffering policies from Device Manager Properties. It is better but still have somewhat increased boot time so I bring it online afterward and eject before shutting down. No one ever supplies a long enough USB cable so be prepared for that cost. Plannedemic shipping time was terrible.
Overall Review: Let's see it is lasts 14 years like my WDs.
Refurb unit
Pros: Sleek, nice design, 20 some pounds weight, modest but effective inputs and multiple Netflix/HULU type alternates. Easy set up,
Cons: Can't turn OFF ... won't come out of standby and turn OFF. Only get 480p
Overall Review: It's a bedroom unit so it may only get an hour play time a day. For the purchase price and as a 'used' unit I can work with it though the picture doesn't compare to my 65" 1080p LG. Be sure to get an optional warranty package with any expensive electronics like this. Yea, if you like an inexpensive, alternate room used unit this will do the job.
WOW
Pros: Certainly an impressive visually marvelous screen area, replacing an SB2331 Samsung moved down the monitor line as #2 dual monitor. Easy assembly and hook up with plenty of connection choices. Control settings easy enough once you get the hang of the documentation.
Cons: Having some more frequent desktop crash difficulties with EA Allied Assault and still working the tuning. Edited - failed within a week, lines and artifacts. Cost me $60 USD to RMA refund anticipated.
Overall Review: Third LG product purchased over 10 years, all still functional.
WD ELEMENTS 25A3 4T external drive
Good high capacity storage from WD. Wish it was RAPTOR but I guess I'm showing my age.
Favorable
1st time user - they did as were expected to do.
