ALL 3 TIMES IT'S A CHARM
Pros: What's not to like here? This thing has all the power I need, it's quiet, and it has every connector you need! I am a DJ & I have built 3 Desktops now, the first being over a yr ago, and these babies work so good I have this bad boy in All 3 of my towers and I have never had any problem @ all! I run a DJ Program, A Karaoke program and then I also use WM Player for videos for my shows & so far so great! I have had 4 karaoke folders open with everything else plus the video folder and there is no hesitation @ all ever! My rigs all have around 3.4 TB hard drive & 8 gigs of ram! This $104 price is pretty insane considering the quality & quantity of power it provides!
Cons: They aren't free!
Overall Review: I am gonna buy another one before they're all gone!
Just not sure
Pros: I was all excited when I put my new pc together and then I noticed that I had to wait to use this video card because I still need the s-video out until I get an hdmi cable. I am a DJ though so I will figure it all out...For the few hours that I had this card in my pc (my first solo build) it seemed to do great though and it cloned off ok to watch movies on my Toshiba 32" lcd hdtv!
Cons: None that I have found yet but I am not a big time gamer either...not yet anyway!
Overall Review: I can't wait to use this card and learn more about gaming with my pc since I am now unable to work due to 4 herniated discs and spinal stenosis! One thing I have noticed though is that other people have said the fan on this card is extremely loud and for whatever reason...I don't agree with that...while I was using it this card was perfect and it doesn't make any more noise than my Chaintech 8600...I don't even notice it running!
WOW BLUE LIGHT!
Pros: I LIKE BLUE! And it is a THERMALTAKE which speaks for itself. It works!
Cons: Doesn't shine or spread far.
Overall Review: It isn't smoking! I am a smart-alek!
KILLER POWER AMP!
Pros: LOOKS! Well that's the first of many pro's in a long list. Toughpower...and Thermaltake...there was 2 more! Rails...raw power...convenience. There was 3 more. I will write a more experienced review on this when it has lasted a year or more as a working dj/karaoke power supply in a show PC. If ANYTHING can survive over a year on the road with an active entertainer then it is a bargain at any price because it is making you money! For $203 I got this and a WD 750 gig HD...what a deal! Long covered cables...I'm in love. With a clear blue light duel fan window in a Show/and performance PC Case this baby looks GREAT!
Cons: Only 1 minor complaint but not bad...low amount of IDE power points...but I am buying all new SATA 1 TB and up hard drives in my new Desktops so this won't matter...to me...soon anyway...This particular power supply is in my Transformer case with Gig/AMD MB/P
Overall Review: I liked it enough to order a 2nd one for my Aluminum silver tribal (raidmax Sirius) case with a bit of an upgrade on everything else inside. I will begin a new quest for the knowledge of (dual video cards) soon so I will have a better idea of these babies after adding yet another chore to my pc's workout!
My First Solo Build
Pros: Well so far so good! This is the first pc I have built by myself and this board booted right up and I had no problems at all getting it to operate all of my programs. I am a DJ so I have BPM Studio for music, Karafun for Karaoke, then I use Windows Media Player for videos and of course movies at home. The first thing I noticed was the speed this thing loads and downloads at. My old pc was an MSI single processor and it ran well but this board with the Gigabyte Quad Processor just seem to go at light speed in comparison!
Cons: I haven't found any yet other than some sort of clash between the Transformer case and this board with the mounting hole layout,,,I was able to find only 3 holes in the middle but I cut some pieces off of the foam from the box and stuffed behind all 4 corners and it seems to be working fine...and I suspect it is the cases fault not this motherboards that the holes don't all line up!
Overall Review: I have allways had MSI motherboards prior to this build but my friend who use to build my pc's and another friend of ours who has his own pc shop both said the Gigabyte boards are great so...We shall see!
WTH?
Pros: It has 750 gigs of space and it works so far! I was sent an e-mail saying this HD won an award and asked to write a review after about 2-3 days of use in a new build...WTH?
Cons: Well I haven't found any yet but I am leary of WD ever since we had a few 160 gig WD's fail that caused both my friend and I alot of grief...I bought a Thermaltake Toughpower 750 W power supply and they threw this in for about $50 on a combo deal which was a good enough of a deal to get me to bite!
Overall Review: I will be on here raising cane if this HD doesn't hold up like it should...I am a DJ/KJ and I used this as my c-drive so I will hoot and holler if it gives me any trouble...I will also respond later if it holds up and performs well! I only gave it one egg because quite simply I have no idea how well this thing performs or where the quality level stacks up to my favorite (Seagate) this year!
