Great performance, very quiet3/23/2021 3:41:19 PM

Pros: Top notch performanceQuietCustomizable with ability to overclockEasy upgradeRuns surprisingly cool

Cons: Needs a beefy power supplySubtle lighting, while nice looking, doesnt seem to be a way to change it or turn it off

Overall Review: Got this to upgrade from a 5500 XT. Although probably not recommended, didnt even need to reinstall the drivers! The Radeon Software automatically detected the new card and allowed for overclocking right from the start. Off the bat, I actually thought something was wrong with the card, as the fan RPM showed 0. At idle, though, the card runs at about 55c, so the fans arent needed all the time! Once load increases, the fans kick on as needed ensuring quiet and quick performance. Under heavy stress, its still surprisingly quiet, and the fan runs at about 2k RPM (temps between 62 and 70 c). Its definitely power hungry, using about 152w at peak.As far as performance, its more than just a marginal difference. Running something like Assassins Creed Odyssey at 3440x1440, I was struggling to get 45fps with the 5500 XT. The 6700 XT pushes up to 75fps on ultra settings. Similarly, Cyberpunk 2077, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and GreedFall (the games Ive tested so far) all show 2 to 4 times more FPS at their highest graphical settings (capping my monitor at 144 FPS in D:OS2, and between 60 and 90 FPS for the others).Like previous cards, multi monitor setup is a breeze. I output to 3 144hz monitors of varying resolutions without issue. I dont particularly care for the Radeon software itself, but its functional giving many options for overclocking and settings built right in. AMD Eyefinity could use some better customization options for non-standard monitor configurations (for example, Ive got an ultra-wide with an HD monitor next to it in portrait orientation; would like to utilize the bottom half of the second monitor as an extension to the first).Overall, this is an excellent card, and Im very happy with the purchase. If I had to pick something to complain about, it would be the lack of customization or option for the on-board light. It looks nice, and compliments my case well, but Id like to be able to turn it off if need be. Finally, anyone contemplating this card, Id recommend ensuring you have enough physical space in your case. Its larger than my 5500 XT was, and I had to clip some zip ties to allow my cables to accommodate the extra space. All in all, a great purchase!

Good for what it is, but a bit too basic7/13/2020 7:32:17 AM

Pros: Easy to use Will work great for 1:1 copy and transfer, full disk backup, and disk imaging between drives

Cons: Not as powerful as I remember old (10+ years) versions. No raw drive manipulation or full disk-to-file image creation

Overall Review: Years ago, I utilized Acronis for many various utilities. I have 4 hard drives originally configured for RAID5 (out of the original set of 5), and had planned to create full disk images on a single large hard drive, build them, and attempt to retrieve the data. Unfortunately, this software only gives the option of 1:1 backup or restore from physical disks. There is the possibility of partitioning my one large disk into 4 or 5 individual partitions, then copy each disk into them, but the direct option would be nice. Additionally, it seems to be missing tools I’ve used in the past for data recovery. The raw edit of hard drive sectors can be dangerous, but if you know what you’re doing, it can make data location, manipulation, and recovery easier. All in all, not a bad tool, and I’m sure it’ll work well for users with a specific purpose. For something more advance, there are many open source alternatives that may work better.

Great power and convenience!11/4/2015 9:35:16 PM

Pros: A lot of power Great cable management and options A lot of power tips for nearly any device VERY bright flashlight Having peace of mind of having a battery to jump start my car at all times is worth it

Cons: Proprietary power plug Short jumper cable wire separating the positive and negative clips Drains on its own with no use fairly quickly

Overall Review: I absolutely LOVE this device! It's small, compact, has a GREAT carying case, and holds a LOT of power! It can charge nearly every wireless device I own, including my laptop, my old AND my new iPhone, and anything else that can charge with USB and most laptop-style power cables. The flashlight is EXTREMELY bright! It would be hard to miss in the case of an emergency. It rivals professional MAG lights, which is impressive with a single LED. I deducted one egg for two reasons. I have to remember to charge the device about once a week even when I don't use it, as the battery seems to drain fairly quickly on it's own. I could probably go 2 to 3 weeks without charging it, but I like to keep it fully charged in case of emergencies. The second reason is the length of the jumper cable wires. The way my car is designed, the battery is in the trunk and is not easily accessable. There is a positive terminal under the hood, but the engine block to connect the negative wire is beyond the length of the included wire. I can get around this by hooking the negative clip to another jumper cable wire, then to the engine block, or by disassembing the battery compartment in my trunk and going directly to the battery. The fact that I can charge this device with either a regular power plug OR the included ciggarette lighter adapter helps, so even with these two negatives, it still deserves 4 eggs!

Large amount of power in a small package!11/4/2015 9:21:00 PM

Pros: Long lasting Small Convenient Easy to use

Cons: Bright LEDs Long charge time

Overall Review: I absolutely love this charger. I got it as a daily deal, but even the regular price is well worth it for the amount of power this thing holds. I have used it to charge my iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2 several times each between charges. I've had experienced issues with other power bricks where they loose their charge after a week or so of no use, but this one stays charged. It definitely holds a large amount of power, which means it can take a LONG time to charge when it's completely depleted. Once I went to charge it overnight, and it still wasn't completely filled by the next morning. It didn't take TOO much longer to fully charge, but it still seemed like a long time. Even with that, though, I still give this 5 eggs! This is the second one I purchased. My other con about the LEDs being bright is only inconvenient if it's charging in the same room where I'm sleeping. Seeing as I don't, I can't really deduct an egg for that either!

Amazing product, amazing price!11/4/2015 9:18:20 PM

Good while it lasted1/22/2013 7:01:50 PM

Pros: While it worked, it worked great. Crisp screen, responsive buttons and remote, long lasting battery.

Cons: It stopped working 31 days after purchase. Because it's a refurb, it's no longer eligible for an RMA or refund after 30 days. It still reads the DVD, but only the right side of the screen is working, and it has black lines running up the full length of the screen. Very disappointing.

Overall Review: I'm very disappointed with this. Had it stopped working 1 day prior, I could have gotten an RMA. I don't blame NewEgg for this, but it's still frustrating.

Took a chance; not disappointing!11/1/2011 5:43:36 PM

Pros: Pretty looking. Great packaging. Quiet. Fits great in my case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119138) Constant power; no surges or spikes. Cool performance.

Cons: Check the size. It fits my case perfectly, but I can see how it may be a bit large for smaller cases.

Overall Review: I bought this to replace a dying power supply. Normally, I'd go with Thermaltake, Cooler Master, or SilverStone, but I decided to take a chance on this one. I'm glad I did! It fits better in my case than my old PS, and is significantly more quiet. Also, it provides a lot of air flow, and helps keep my system cool.

Phenomenal Case1/30/2011 8:21:55 PM

Pros: Very sturdy case Easy access to all internal and external components Good sound dampening system Relatively little dust can get inside the case Able to chose which way the door swings

Cons: Very heavy The dust catching vents at the bottom need to be aligned perfectly straight in order to slide in (sorry, but I really couldn't think of any other cons)

Overall Review: I've had this case for well over a year now. This is by far the best case I've ever owned for my builds! All the internal components have easy access with both sides off. I've moved twice since owning this case, and other than a few slight scratches on the side metal door, the case is still flawless! After a few moves, it feels as though one of the bars at the top is slightly loose, but I can still carry the computer by that one bar alone without it breaking off. Also, the dust covers on the bottom of the case were a phenomenal idea on CM part! After a year without cleaning, I opened up the case, and there was little (if any) dust on the internal components! This is after using it heavily in a very dusty room!

Fast, works great3/15/2010 7:31:25 PM

Pros: Very fast drive, works 'out of the box'. There was no necessary software to install to get the drive up and running as the previous reviewer may have you think. Installed, partitioned, and formatted in less than 10 minutes. Very good speeds on burst read/write, as well as sustained. Also very quiet.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Installed as a 2nd drive in my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. Currently running at about 50% capacity on both partitions with no errors or problems.

Great card2/23/2010 12:52:33 AM

Pros: Phenomenal card, many tweaking options available via the eVGA Precision software. Runs everything very smoothly, even with a single card (no SLI for me yet). Will play WoW and watch a HD movie on 2nd monitor with nearly no graphical lag (Dal does drop to about 25-30 FPS, that's about it). Never had a video card where a year later, I can still play brand new games, and confidently push the graphics to max without worrying the game will slow to a crawl.

Cons: I purchased this card close to release for $650+, so the pricing isn't really a con anymore. eVGA Precision tool sometimes lets the card get a little too hot for MY comfort level before kicking the fan above 40%, although never had a crash, slowdown, or graphical artifacting due to heat issues (also, custom profiles allows me to change it on the fly anyway).

Overall Review: Currently running: eVGA GTX-280 Asus M3N-HT Deluxe MoBo AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-Core 4GB Kingston Memory (2x2 dual channel) 2 74GB WD VelociRaptor (RAID0) 4 500GB Seagate Barracuda (RAID5) WinXP/Vista/Ubuntu tri-boot

Mis-Information8/21/2009 3:12:06 AM

Pros: Fits nicely in my express card slot. Reads regular SD memory well.

Cons: Purchased solely for a reader for my MS Pro Duo, to which it says it can handle. Apparently, according to the company's web site, it only supports it with an adapter that I don't have. There is no mention of it needing an adapter on the product info page, nor on the package (except for mini-SD).

Overall Review: Will be returning the product. It serves no use for me

Poor quality12/18/2008 11:16:21 PM

Pros: Fits the 2.5" drive perfectly

Cons: Same can't be said for the 3.5" bay. I was only able to get 1 screw in, and the case just kind of 'dangles' there...

Overall Review: Unfortunately unable to find any other similar product, or else would have bought something else. Newegg is still the best, regardless of the products they carry.

Huge monitor for great price5/23/2008 7:46:21 PM

Pros: Very large monitor, able to now use it instead of my TV. Great picture and clarity. Resolution of 1920x1200 is great too. Great picture and size, especially for the price.

Cons: Came with 1 frozen pixel (was able to fix it, though). Also, my video card can't handle the higher-output of graphics for 3D gaming (not really a con for the monitor, but something to think about for anyone considering the purchase).

Overall Review: Would have been a 5 if it wasn't for the frozen pixel. Even though I was able to clear it up for the most part, it does still come back periodically.

Great LARGE Heatsink5/14/2008 10:43:40 PM

Pros: Running an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ with stock heatsink/fan before this. Ran on average 45C idle and 60C load. Bought this to replace it when the stock heatsink failed (CPU=110C/system shut down). CPU now runs at 30-32C idle and has maxed at 40C on full load (have not seen it above that yet). Also, dropped the case/MB temp by about 5C as well (with 2 120mm fans).

Cons: VERY large. I measured before I purchased, and would suggest that for ANYONE who is looking at this heatsink. I can understand how some say its a con because you have to remove the MB to install this, but if you assembled your computer anyway, then it shouldn't be a major challenge (just time consuming depending on your case layout)

Overall Review: Purchased from Newegg and was here within 3 days. Phenomenal service!
