Doesn't Work

Pros: It's hard to think of any pros when this Plextor DVD burner won't even read its own software CD/DVDs.

Cons: The Plextor DVD burner installed fine, and Windows XP Pro SP3 detected it immediately, and installed the correct drivers, however, when I tried to use the software that came with it, it wouldn't read the info after many attempts and rebooting of my machine.

Overall Review: I finally used my old CD burner to install the Plextor Utilities software, and used the utility to run tests on the Plextor DVD burner, and it failed two tests: 1) Tray close, and 2) the Spindle. I am going to return this item and get a refund. I don't think I will ever buy another Plextor piece of equipment.
