Need Firmware update 1.06.70 to boot

BYTECC PCIe SATA II 300 + PATA Raid Card Model BT-PESAPA
BYTECC PCIe SATA II 300 + PATA Raid Card Model BT-PESAPA

Pros: The card worked out of the box. Like others said, the manual's pretty flimsy, so just change the jumpers until it detects your drives. An easy way to do that is just set them all one way, then the other way (I use all internal drives). The card shipped with an internal port enabled and an extermal port enabled. The chipset is JMB363.

Cons: Problem was that my Tyan board would not recognize the created array as bootable. I read some other posts saying that they couldn't figure out how to upgrade the firmware. Anyhow, if you download the files from ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/jmb36x/Option_ROM onto a floppy and write a new flash, it works. I updated to firmware 1.06.70 and then my Tyan BIOS would recognize the array as bootable. A little hassle, but I haven't encountered any more problems at this time.

Overall Review: The RAID creation isn't as flexible as I'd like. I'm not exactly sure whether it uses gigabyte boundaries (like Promise cards), etc. but it sure is quick and easy
