Pros: Simply amazing performance because this card can keep the GPU, Memory and Power COLD allowing Nvidia GPU Boost 3.0 to Clock the card very high.
Cheaper than a custom loop with similar performance
EVGA Support and Warranty backs up your purchase
Overall Review: Great card - you will not be disappointing. It is a large card and you need to be aware of how much space your PC case has.
With the power disconnected to your PC set the BIOS switch to the "slave" setting - this is the Best Performance
Proper mounting of the radiator will provide the best and quietest experience This card gets the heat out of your case.
EVGA Precision XOC software is free and required to Over Clock the card even higher or control the LEDs. Its not hard software to use, I was able to figure it out on my own. The first time you load XOC you will need to shutdown your PC, pull the power cord to all connected devices (monitor, usb hub ...) then hold the start button on PC down for 30 seconds to ensure the PSU capacitors have discharged, plug ever thing back in and start your PC
EVGA has a Forums area where you can get help if you need any - great group of volunteers willing to help out.
If 3 years warranty is not long enough, EVGA offers extended warranties - best to register your card soon as you get it.
Pros: Simply put: It works!
Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B CPU Cooler, 24/7 my Intel i7-950 is happy @ 4.2GHz 4 years later & I have not had to reapply the thermal interface material (TIM)
Cons: None after 4 years of overclocking CPU
Overall Review: With a proper install of TIM on a clean CPU & the Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B CPU Cooler - CPU is still happy.
Pros: Rock solid since 12/2015 in a machine that runs 24/7
Overall Review: G.Skill RAM is a Great Value and Performance RAM
Pros: Easy to setup, Fast, reliable after 18 months of use still Great. This PC runs 24/7 for the last 18 months
Cons: None, obviously it would be nice if they were cheaper -- though I bought mine on Sale
Overall Review: I like it better than M.2 SSD
Pros: Stable, clean power - great for my custom water cooled overclocked system with 2-way SLI - EVGA Titan X SC.
I have a very large tower - Phanteks Primo - the cables are long enough to reach from the bottom mounted PSU to the top of motherboard CPU 8-pin connector
Up Date 18 months later PSU has been powering 3 Nvidia 10 series GPU while running Stanford's Folding at Home project 24/7 check it out and Help find the cure https://folding.stanford.edu/about/
Outstanding reliability - this PSU allows stable overclock 24/7
Cons: Would be nice if the individually sleeved cables were an option at time of purchase and not a separate add-on.
Overall Review: Quality of your PSU is not the place to look for savings.
If you want a stable overclocked system - you better get a great quality PSU.
If you want individually sleeved cable set they are available in different colors - they are available
Pros: Quiet fan, moves enough air to keep my laptop running fast
4 years old and still going strong
Overall Review: Wish they made a wider version for 17 inch laptop
Pros: When it worked it had some nice features, but barely made it through the three year warranty
Cons: This RX-A820 receiver was always behind an APC brand UPS to protect it from surges or any electric "quality" issue. By the time the 3 year warranty was up it has started having issues with the speakers not powering for the first several minutes and it has only gotten worse - taking more time - now about 10 minutes before sound will "work"
Repairing is cost prohibitive - why would a receiver board be so expensive ?
Overall Review: At this price range I expected more of a Receiver that was always protected from power quality issues by a name brand UPS
I've had Other Brands of receivers last over 10 years. In fact the previous Sony is still working fine; I just wanted to move to HDMI inputs/ outputs
If Yamaha had some kind of customer retention / return customer discount, I might have been tempted to give Yamaha a second chance
Pros: GeForce GT 730 works great in older Dell Inspiron 580 with I5 CPU, stock 300W PSU and with BIOS A07.
Plug and play--- NO Drama
Nice update from the original GT 220; for this basic PC !
EVGA has a great warranty and support. Helpful forum members on EVGA site are willing to assist others.
Overall Review: Was not bought for gaming, just basic PC use: internet surfing, streaming movies and other basics.
New life to an older PC, with this GPU and a SSD upgrade
EVGA has a great warranty and support. Helpful forum members on EVGA site are willing to assist others.
Pros: Many advanced features. Adjustable antennas are removable if you want to upgrade them. The Asus firmware and software updates have been easy enough to install.<br><br>Fast & stable
Cons: The printer port / USB port have proven trouble some to use - Not Plug & Play. (-1 egg)<br><br>Unit does tend to run Hot as it uses about 10 watts of power.<br><br>Very Poor cooling design (like most routers) the Design team makes the case "stylish" rather than functional for natural cooling.
Overall Review: My Cooler Master case has a large fan on the top so ** I passively cool the Router, seems to improve reliability / stability.<br><br>Hey - ASUS - put a fan in your routers or add a grill on the top for natural convection to keep this 10 watt beast cool.<br><br>Your going to need to read up on the feature if IT networking is not your field - LOTS of great features - may overwhelm the casual user.
Pros: When it worked it was adequate but not specifically good at being quick or quiet.
Cons: DIE in less than 2 years; was used less than 3 dozen time in a secondary PC. My PCs are protected by UPS to prevent surge of unstable voltage issues and I always follow proper anti-static discharge procedure. So, their is no reasonable reason after so ;little use that this LG 24X DVD drive decides one day to not only stop working but actually stops the PC from completing POST.
Overall Review: Buy something else. I have never had a DVD/ CD drive just role over and play dead before. The fact that it stopped the PC from booting would lead me to believe something shorted-outr on the control board. I tried new SATA cable and 2 different SATA ports, it is definitely a dead drive.
Pros: NONE - JUNK AVOID the hassle, get something else, this product does not work.
Would not even give this junk 1 egg, but Newegg forces you to chose at least 1 egg.
Cons: Uploaded the latest version even though I bought a disk. Failed with error code when I tried to use software after installing. Error code given by the software was not found on the Acronis website???? After 2 plus hours of reading documents, searching Acronis & other sites - NO Solution was found.
So, on a NEW OS install of Windows 10 Pro 64bit, after installing my PAID copy of Acronis and entering a 64 digit security code, the software fails to work and the error code thrown has no known document on Acronis's website.
The latest version of True Image 2015, I downloaded from Acronis and it is supposed to work with Windows 10 - it DOES NOT WORK
Overall Review: My technical skills are very high; been in the IT realm for over 20 years.
Acronis True Image 2015, fails to work on a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
The error code thrown by the software, has no corresponding document on Acronis's website.
AVOID the PAIN, avoid the product, it is junk and NOT properly supported with documentation on Acronis's website.
Pros: Nice paper weight, fills holes in PC case
Would not even give it 1 egg if I did not have to.
Run - do not walk to another drive.
Cons: Unreliable - failed to work after about 2 dozen uses on an extra PC.
MFG Oct. 2012, Would not let PC BOOT - caused PC to hang 10 to 15 minuets while starting.
Overall Review: When I tried to Start PC it would not POST after very long hanging time.
Disconnect this LG drive; PC boots fine.
Tried 3, SATA cables & 2 different port on Motherboard same hang would not complete BIOS, POST.
Bad enough if failed after so little use; but, to cause PC to hang 10 - 15 minuets when trying to starting PC - just WOW.
My PC are on UPS to protect from power surge and NOTHING else on this PC was damaged.
My new pioneer drive fired right up - so it is not my PC!
Pros: Work as intended, inexpensive
Pros: Work as intended. Good price to performance ratio. Running strong for about 2 years. Have used in two different homes with no issues in either location.
Overall Review: First time you pair them, it is best to be in the same room so you do not have to run back and forth. 2 years out they have work as expected. After you do the initial pairing they are easy to move to a new location.
I have not used the 110 volt plug feature on the face.
Make sure your room does not switch off the bottom outlet you are using as these are large and hang down and would cover the second outlet if you plugged them in the top of the outlet.
Pros: Well built, work on my 1920 X 1080 24 inch LED monitor.
Overall Review: Inexpensive good performance.
Pros: Works as intended. Good stop gap if you buy a newer case but want to keep your older USB 2.0 motherboard.
Used about 2 years and going strong.
Cons: Could be a little less bulky after all it is for USB ports; hard to hid if you care about the aesthetics.
Overall Review: Was hard to find when I bought it. Also would hope that this item would be include with nicer cases by default.
Pros: Runs fast & stable. The bendable antenna allows you to move it for best signal as it is not obscured by the mass (shadow) of the metal in the laptop / PC, allowing a better signal strength.
Cons: Initial setup can be time consuming. Get the latest software before you start.
Overall Review: It works & is stable.
Initial setup can be a little intimidating if you are not network experienced; take your time and do your homework - aka - read the instructions.
Pros: overclocked in my PC for 4 years and going strong, very stable RAM.
Overall Review: No issues after 4 years of mostly 24/ 7 running in my overclock PC.
Pros: Great for around the house energy audits and hobby use. Light quick and useful. Easy to read LED display.
Cons: n/a The size of the beam does get large the farther you are from your target object; so, you need to be close for best pin-point measurements and not a general background result.
Overall Review: Handy tool, non-contact, quick response easy to read display
Pros: Hands down adding a SSD for your OS drive is the best speed improvement for any PC with 8GB of RAM of more. You can see and feel the difference it is night & day major speed improvement.
SSD speeds, stable, 4 years later still going strong!
Came with cloning software & mounting tray, housing for old drive to use as USB drive, w/ nice aluminum screwdriver.
Large enough for Win 7 Pro 64 bit & office plus all of my software at a very reasonable price.
Overall Review: Read the directions or do your home work. The SSD goes inside of your PC - the old drive becomes an external drive if you do not have any more SATA ports or have a laptop. Set your BIOS to AHCI *** before you clone your drive for best performance. If you chane port to ACHI after you clone, Windows Will NOT Boot! You will either have to edit the registry or Reinstall the image. ****NEVER defrag or optimise a SSD it just causes undo wear to the memory chips.
Pros: The paid version runs real time and can save your system from the internet "bugs"!
BUY It !
Small foot print & can run in the background with other security software.
Overall Review: Great over all protection; goes beyond your other anti-virus software suites.
Simply put - Effective Protection
Pros: Better features than the non-Pro Win 7 OS. Worth the upgrade from family, because of networking and file encryption alone.
I would buy the SP1 version now; save your self the download.
Cons: Microsoft (MS) never came out with a Service Pack 2 (SP2), so there is a massive amount of updates if you do a clean install.
MS does not offer any update DVD/ CD so all updates must be made online. ( about 80 -100) Because the updates "stack" you have to apply them in order and can not skip to the most recent updates only. The only exception is the SP1 update, if you buy the older version just install the SP1 update first.
Overall Review: Keep the license in a safe place; you may need it in the future to prove your copy is legal if you have to reinstall.
Might be a good path to MS Windows 10
Pros: Quiet 4 years later! Edge LEDs make the green fan "glow".
Used with Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B CPU Cooler; keeps my i7-950 very happy @ 4.2GHz overclock with just One Fan. My case also moves a lot of air Cooler Master HALF, full tower.
Cons: The LEDs have a pin point white light where they are mounted - giving the green fan a very nice "glow". Just wish the leds were also green.
Overall Review: 4 years still QUIET! and running smooth and strong. Moves enough are to keep overclocked i7-950 happy @4.2GHz in a 24/7 environment. Read my Prolimatech Megahalems review; you probable can not get any cooler or quieter on Air cooling your CPU.
Pros: Great air cooler. My i7-950 has been happy for years @ 4.2 GHz in a 24/7 Cool Master HALF case.
Cons: NONE, But this puppy is BIG, that is why it works so good.
Overall Review: Take your time and install it properly with a quality TIM and you will be rewarded by great cooling. CPU fan 1216, CPU 39 C light load, MB 29 C, under heavy benchmarks CPU goes as high as 50 -55 C - in a room that is 66 F or 19 C, (winter time) I am able to have a stable overclock of 4.2 GHz on my Intel i7-950
Pros: Easy to set-up. Intuitive operation, Clear images, powerful flash, good fit in your hand, fast shooting, wireless capable. ---- I bought mine with a Samsung Tab 2 7.0 tablet for the same price (MSRP) as a package at Sam's club.
The pocket sized manual and quick start are easy to keep handy; but, I prto read it on the free 7.0 inch Tab 2 that came with the camera.
Overall Review: The camera offers many options so you will need to read the manual for some features at first.
