Performance that runs cool and effiecient

AMD FX-8300 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.3 GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD8300WMHKBOX
AMD FX-8300 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.3 GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD8300WMHKBOX

Pros: Runs @ 4.1 ghz with just 1.25 voltage

Cons: Takes a big jump in voltage to get it stable at 4.2 and above

Overall Review: Have this paired with an Asrock 970A-G/3.1. Latest bios, turbo core turned off, Coo and Quiet On. All voltages set to AUTO except CPU volts. Tried overclocking NB HT but the Northbridge was already so warm I opted to skip for stability. Had this 8300 running at 4.3 ghz @ 1.35 but wanted a better energy to performance ratio. No benchmark differences between 4300 and 4200 MHz speed so I went with 4200 @ 1.325. Saved a hair more on heat with no loss in performance. Gives fx 8370 performance at a whole lot less cost.

Unstable CPU voltage

ASRock B550M-HDV AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
ASRock B550M-HDV AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Great looking compact mobo. Using a patriot 512 m.2 ssd, 16 gbs of Gskill 3200 MHz ram and FPS SFX power supply from old build to upgrade to the B550 chipset.

Cons: Everything booted up fine. Updated the bios from Asrock's website to 1.20. While running just windows I saw under CPUz and HwMonitor that CPU voltage was fluctuating anywhere from 1.00 to 1.80 to 2.70 volts. Computer would start freezing. I'm hoping that it didn't fry my cpu.

Overall Review: I am currently working with Asrock tech support to find a solution. If I do I will raise my Newegg rating. If not, I'll be returning the motherboard and going with another company.

Decent not Great

Patriot Viper 4 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3400 (PC4 27200) Desktop Memory Model PV416G340C6K
Patriot Viper 4 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3400 (PC4 27200) Desktop Memory Model PV416G340C6K

Pros: Runs at 3200 mhz. Decent price at time of purchase.

Cons: Unstable over 3200 mhz. Will not run at rated speed of 3400 mhz. Loose timings.

Overall Review: Running on a Gigabyte AB 350M-DS3H-CF with latest Bios and a Ryzen 3600.

Waiting on new Case

MSI Radeon RX 550 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express x16 (uses x8) Low Profile Video Card RX 550 2GT LP OC
MSI Radeon RX 550 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express x16 (uses x8) Low Profile Video Card RX 550 2GT LP OC

Pros: Compact. Solid build.

Cons: Takes up 2 pci-e slots.

Overall Review: Took off 1 egg because it doesn't fit in my Silverstone ML-05 case. Not MSI's fault. Silverstone indicates that the 460 version of this card will in the ML-05. I looked at measurements between both cards and they were close but it hit up against psu. For a low profile htpc card wish it wasn't so wide.

Worth the money

AMD A8-7650K - A-Series APU Kaveri Quad-Core 3.3 GHz Socket FM2+ 95W Radeon R7 series Desktop Processor - AD765KXBJABOX
AMD A8-7650K - A-Series APU Kaveri Quad-Core 3.3 GHz Socket FM2+ 95W Radeon R7 series Desktop Processor - AD765KXBJABOX

Pros: Paired this with an Asus A88xm motherboard. Updated bios on motherboard set Processor clock multiplier to 42, running stable at 4200 MHz, no issues. Benches beat the 7850k and about 50 bucks cheaper!

Cons: I refuse to post something stupid like, "It doesn't make me breakfast"

Jaguar CPU

Lenovo C455 All-In-One 21.5" AMD A4-5000 4GB / 1TB HDD (57318981)
Lenovo C455 All-In-One 21.5" AMD A4-5000 4GB / 1TB HDD (57318981)

Pros: Nice compact system. Jaguar is a lot better than the wife's old laptop E-1200. 1 Gig hard-drive, more modern processor.

Cons: Only 4 gigs of RAM. Don't like the windows 8 that came with it. Had a Windows 7 disc and installed that. Finding the right AMD drivers for that was confusing, found them on the AMD Overdrive website. Downloaded system and graphic drivers. Everything has worked great for the last 2 mos.
