good deal
Pros: great price perfect size and XFX Bought 2 of these Cant wait to get Eyefiniti working-see cons
Cons: does not include the CrossFire Interconnect Even the Mobo I got from NewEgg didnt have one either ASUS stated I have to purchase from them AND I have to pay for customs fee at time of delivery O M G unable to get response from XFX on this issue if part is required, it should be included
Overall Review: SWEET cards Runs Shattered Horizon perfect at 1920x1200 with no problem. DX11 only game. will post again with eyefiniti if I get the interconnect
uh...garbage...
Pros: this thing ROCKED for about 2 months. Never had any problems with the wireless. Newegg rocks as usual.
Cons: after 2 months, the wired prot connection would drop off at random intervals. no bios update available. Acted JUST like the 624 that I had the same problem with. Was never able to get the share for ANY USB device to work. Hooked up USB printer, HDD , and CD/dvd combo....nothing worked to see it on my network.
Overall Review: D-Link customer service was NO help at all. Emailed them the problem in exact words and terminology they use, got a reply that seemed to be from a 6 year old. The 624 family will have the wired drop of connection. I do not recommend this item to anyone unless they want the hassle.
while it lasted
Pros: ease of setup increased speed wired and wireless while it lasted
Cons: good while it lasted went to reset it and found that it was no longer lit up unplugged and waited 10 minutes plugged back in and nothing - no lights at all
Overall Review: For the price - this should have lasted at least 2 years my old lInkSyS has lasted for 8 years and still going at a family members house
uh...good for very short time
Pros: bought this to replace a Linkysys befcmu10 v2 that was at life end....according to Comcast support. had serious improvement in speed for short time.
Cons: 2 months and the thing dropped like a rock. Power cycled the thing several times a day and then nothing. Lights up all nice but no internet at all. out of 30 day with newegg, so have to try direct route. had to downgrade to a SB5101 from local store. not happy with this unit for the price and the timeframe that it worked for. My old Linkysys last for several years. 2 months is a joke for the cost of this item.
Overall Review: have to try warranty with Motorola...if they even care....and see if I can get it replaced. Windows 7 stated there was a problem with the device. No better info given. I do not recommend the purchase of this item.
latest build
Pros: installed after amonth waiting for $$ for other parts. was worried about time for warranty and had no issues with install of parts. Mobo did not need BIOS update to see the AMD 965 Black ed CPU. ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
Cons: have not had a single glitch yet
Overall Review: AMD not offering any SLI enabled mobos that matched the offerings that I was looking for. Got this and 2 of the XFX 5770's and am happy. Boot time for Win7 with *gb of OCZ RAM and a WD 1TB hdd is about 45 seconds. Overall I can see no issues with the purchase of this product. Will NEVER buy into the intel product line. no way NO how.
sweet as needed
Pros: had in box for sometime until video cards and OS $$ available. no issues installing win7. Accepted 8GB of OCZ ram and amd 3.4 quad CPU with no update to BIOS required. Other than cons listed, this mobo works great and have had no issues at all. Have had this running for 4 days and all is well with no major stuff being wrong (c r a p) not being an acceptable word in review. Had to install HD Audio from CD. Win7 does not install the full featured package from get go.
Cons: Does not include the crossfire interconnect bridge. Unable to find on Newegg website. 10 bucks on some other rinky dink site. Need to get interconnect to enable crossfire to get the eyefinity enabled. MOBO should have had this part since it was not cheap.
Overall Review: ASUS M4A79XTD OCZ 2x 2GB x2 AMD 965 Black 3.4 Quad Core 2x XFX HD 5770 mostly parts in current machine baought from NewEgg.com. THEY ROCK!!! BIOS sees older drivers as boot drive with no boot manager even after full format. Can not use the 3 320GB drives as data drives at all. Left 4 Dead 2 supposed to run EyeFinity, but without the interconnect bridge like the SLI boards included, cannot run eyefinity. If only had bridge for crossfire to enable eyefinity and it would be 5 eggs no prob.
