Why did I wait so long?

Pros: After procrastinating for a few years, I finally caved in and bought 4 of these and created a RAID-0. This is my first set of SSD's and I'm very impressed to say the least. The read performance is as advertised. The writes were slightly lower, but nothing to complain about. These SSD's scream. ATTO Disk Benchmarks Single Max Read (545MB/Sec) Max Write (441MB/Sec) RAID0 x2 Max Read (1.05GB/Sec) Max Write (847MB/Sec) RAID0 x3 Max Read (1.19GB/Sec) Max Write (1.08GB/Sec) RAID0 x4 Max Read (1.21GB/Sec) Max Write (1.16GB/Sec) Rig ASRock 890FX Deluxe4 8GB Ripclaw Memory AMD Phenom x6 3.2Ghz AMD Radeon HD 6970 Window's 7-64bit Professional /1TB WD Caviar Black 1,000 Watt Corsair Power Supply
Cons: Didn't come with a Green Lantern ring.
Overall Review: When in a 4 x RAID0 the multiplyer I had in mind didn't seem to scale as high as I would have liked, but perhaps this will vary with the thousands of various hardware setups and various OS's. Bottom line, it's not a show stopper by any stretch. I'm extremely satisfied.
Best Mobo So far

Pros: I'm extremely happy with this motherboard. The BIOS is easy to use and visually tops all others. I dropped in an AMD Zambezi x8 core, set the BIOS to Auto O/C and jumped from 3.6Ghz to 3.9Ghz. Runs fairly cool, 36c. The sata3 transfer rate is great. Boot times and performance are noticeably faster than my previous Gigabyte 890FX.
Cons: NONE
Overall Review: Updated the BIOS to 0901. I'd buy another one.
Excellent

Pros: I created a RAID6 array with 7 of these drives(+spare) and the performance is exceptional. The temps are cool and little or no noise. A great spinner! ATTO Benchmark Reads 1.65G/ps Writes 1.42G/ps
Cons: One of the 8 drives was DOA. Not a show stopper. RMA'd.
Overall Review: RAID6 array built on the following controller: HighPoint RocketRAID 3530 PCI-Express x8 SATA II (3.0Gb/s) Windows 7 x64 Professional
Top Quality Headset

Pros: This is one heck of a headset. The 7.1 surround sound is amazing. For over a decade I've bought Logitech sound equipment, and it's always satisfied me, however this headset stands alone. It's the best headset I've ever owned dating back 17 years. The quality of the sound is outstanding. The material is high end and durable. The headset fit is highly adjustable and comfortable.
Cons: none times infinity
Overall Review: What amazed me the most is the depth of sound within the headset and the bass was incredible when turned up. Although I bought it during the sale, even at full price it's worth every cent. You wont regret having this headset.

Pros: Speeds are close to advertised numbers. Microsoft Windows 7 64bit Professional ATTO Benchmark Reads 375MB/s Writes 223MB/s Overall Windows Experience Index: 7.5 WEI Primary Hard Disk: Disk data transfer rate 7.9 AHCI turned off
Cons: Not a show stopper by any means, but no hardware included.
Overall Review: Performance was slightly higher with AHCI turn on, but after a short period my system become unstable. Turned AHCI off, problem solved and it still cooks. After much techinical debate with friends, I also did the following: - Fresh Windows 7 installation - Moved Windows page file to a mech disk - Turned off Windows Super Fetch - Turned off Windows Search Indexing ASRock 890FX Deluxe4 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz SAPPHIRE 100311SR Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
Great Choice

Pros: I'm running Windows 7 RAID. I upgraded from a Gigabyte 790FX to the ASRock 890FX Deluxe4 and it was trouble free. I swapped out the mobo's, reconnected the AMD/ATi RAID drives and booted into Windows 7 perfectly. Althouth I'm using SATA II 3gps HDD's, the performance is noticebly better. With an AMD Phenom 6-Core 3.2Ghz, the internal cpu temperature stays at a cool 29 degrees celcius during moderate load.
Cons: None. I'd recommend not using the Cool Heatpipe fan provided. If you have a large cpu fan, it may interrupt the airflow and raise your cpu temperatue.
Overall Review: This board has everything you could possibly want. Fantastic for $169.99. Not many affordable boards with 8 x SATA III ports. I'm a long time Gigabyte rigger and I'm very happy with this product.
