Pros: I've had this little powerhouse for quite some time now and I'm feeling fuzzy inside to review it. I'm a developer and if you like to program, use Adobe CS4 products, play games, etc... This thing does it. Its small, but hell, you can plug a 23'' 1080p monitor in to the HDMI port and be perfectly fine. Much more than a netbook, for sure. Also, I have long fingers, so the keyboard is PERFECT. The keys are actually larger than my laptop's keyboard and it spans across the whole netbook. Lovely feature, MSI. Have had no issues with the wireless, connects up to N access points just fine. gigabit port is useful too. LCD resolution/brightness is perfect.
Cons: Webcam isnt too good, but it serves its purpose. I bought this when it was over $500 :(
Overall Review: Buy it now.
Pros: Built well. Trivial to get the side cover back on the first time if you do not read the directions. Other than that, the thing runs really cool even with a hard drive in it. Allows for PXE booting too. AND a hidden feature I found when looking for the DIMM .. an SD to IDE reader. Kinda neat! used this for my swap in Linux and PF in windows.
Cons: The onboard ATi graphics is completely useless. I have tried every OS and every driver. Windows XP / 7, Ubuntu all 32 and 64bit, latest versions drivers (proprietary driver for ubuntu), even tried to Omega alternative driver. DXVA in windows DOES NOT WORK. All i get is a green screen. I forget what its called in Linux, but it doesn't work either, black screen. Only audio, says that the video is being rendered at the proper framerate. There has not been any driver fixes for this issue yet. I will no longer purchase AMD/ATI.
Overall Review: I have seen some people having luck with this ATI card decoding h264. If you have the time to mess with it and risk RMAing, go for it. I've just purchased one of those spiffy nVidia ION mini computers.
Pros: This mini laptop (not a netbook) is amazing and does everything you will ever need to do on the go. Keyboard is PERFECT for my huge hands, screen is amazingly crisp with its high resolution and brightness. Its a perfect home theater pc with Windows 7 and the Radeon (can stream over wireless N and hardware decode 720p movies and some 1080p)
Cons: Price was a bit high when purchased, dropped ~$100 since. Bluetooth not working on Windows 7...?
Overall Review: This + Windows 7 + bluetooth dongle & mouse = powerhouse. For what this netbook can do, the battery life is actually quite good @ ~5hrs.
