Outstanding
Pros: Very good picture and sound and the remote also works good with Media center and the Hauppauge WinTV-7 software. The range of the remote is also very good.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Installed it in a new computer running Windows 7 on a Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H with a Intel Core i5-2500K, 8GB DDR3 SDRAM. I installed the latest software from the Hauppauge website and none off the cd that came with it. Also needed one or two updates from Microsoft. I set the buffer in WinTV-7 to 0 and it changes channels much faster and puts less wear and tear on the hard drive. If I'm watching live TV I use WinTV-7 and Media center to record shows. I pickup all of my local HD channels with a small indoor antenna and use the other input for basic analog cable TV. I tried the FM tuner with the small wire antenna that came with it and it worked OK. The board I received has a one inch jumper wire soldered on the bottom. It looks like they may have done some type of update to it by hand. Using the numbers on the remote you need to enter four numbers if the channel has a decimal, 16.1=1161 , 16.2=1162. I like it.
Wrote my first review too soon.
Pros: Looks nice.
Cons: Updated review: It will not run reliably at the rated Timing of 7-7-7-21 on a new GIGABYTE GA-H67A-UD3H-B3 motherboard with an Intel i5-2500K. When installed in my first GIGABYTE GA-H67A-UD3H motherboard, bios F5 it would freeze or reboot about once a week, with bios F8 or F9 it crashed everyday when the timing is set to 7-7-7-21. For now the GIGABYTE GA-H67A-UD3H-B3 motherboard and bios F2 and the timing on AUTO, it's running OK with a setting of 9-9-9-24 and it is stable for now. I called newegg to see if I could exchange it for G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB Model F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH. I was told no because it is now past 30 days.
Overall Review: I didn't get what I paid for but it's usable.
Nice drive!
Pros: Works good, no coasters. Used it with Memorex DVD-R, BD-R AND Verbatim BD-RE plus various brand CD-R disc. The black face is a perfect match to my Ultra X-Blaster Black ATX Mid-Tower Case.
Cons: Can't think of any.
Overall Review: Updated firmware to Version 1.04 from the Sony-Optiarc website.
Almost installs itself!
Pros: Installed with no problems on a my new computer. Very stable, bug-free and quick.
Cons: none
Simple to use!
Pros: It works good with my Linksys router. Very easy to hookup and I like that I was able to wall mount it out of the way. The power plug plugs in nice and secure, it will not fallout. It is well built.
Cons: none
