Pros: Excellent build quality; quiet (with Seagate 7200.10 drives); Good Looks
Cons: Doesn't spin down when idle. The 100AC (IDE drive) spins down when left idle.
Works as advertised
Pros: Large size; quiet; fast
Cons: none
Overall Review: I put this into a Macally dual HDD case and it's worked great. No issues with sound or heat. Great drive.
Works great
Pros: small/compact; rugged; USB/FW interface; good quality cables; easy to install
Cons: Bright LED light
Overall Review: Works great with an old IDE drive I had from my ibook. The old el cheapo case I had sucked and I've always had great luck with Macally cases.
Pros: Small/compact; rugged; looks good; good quality cables included; easy to install
Cons: Blue light is very bright
Overall Review: This is the perfect drive for folks replacing the HDD from an older laptop. USB and FW is a boon for Mac users. Heat dissipation is not an issue. Great value.
Great Case!
Pros: Smaller than expected size; Quiet operation; Front panel on/off switch; Cooling fans included.
Cons: No significant "cons"
Overall Review: Installing the upper drive bracket was a little difficult due to the power switch wires; Could use some rubber feet (as it is, I'll go and buy some small rubber feet)
Seagate 250GB/5400RPM 2.5" HDD
Pros: Large size, pretty fast RPM, quiet.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Had a small problem with the HDD. The little bag that the HDD comes in was cut open. I had thoughts that it might have been tampered with, but the opening was not large enough to get the HDD out and back in. Otherwise, I would have given a 5-star rating. The install was very easy on my Macbook and SuperDuper. We went with Seagate since we've had lots of success with their 3.5" drives.
