Great all-in-one display

SAMSUNG ToC T240HD Rose-Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 10000:1 Built in DTV Tuner & Dolby Digital Surround Speakers
SAMSUNG ToC T240HD Rose-Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 10000:1 Built in DTV Tuner & Dolby Digital Surround Speakers

Pros: This computer display is capable of anything you want to do. Perfect for a computer display, XBOX 360, PS3, and whatever else you attach to it. It offers "scan only" options so that you see it exactly how you want to with no stretching of the image unless you tell it to. Excellent color and no blurring detected. Also great for over-the-air HD television viewing, all done by the set itself with no additional hardware other than a good antenna.

Cons: The viewing angles of this set is rather poor. You have to be front and center of the display for perfect brightness. If you're looking down at the screen, the brightness is overbearing... if looking up, the image is really dark.

Overall Review: I wish they offered the same package in a 30 inch display. Hopefully, they'll release a newer version solving the brightness issue when looking downward or upward towards the screen at 45º angles.

Most Critical Review

Referring to v3 of the WET54G

LINKSYS WET54G 54Mbps Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge
LINKSYS WET54G 54Mbps Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge

Pros: Nice slim design and mount slots allow you to place this anywhere you please. The antenna is detachable as well if you want to change it to a higher gain antenna.

Cons: Referring only to the 3rd version (WET54Gv3). As noted in other forums, this version has an issue when using WEP-PSK. No other wireless devices in my house exhibit this flaw. This device will hang requiring you to disconnect the power and plug it back in to get a connection again. Typically, I have to unplug it around three times a day. On really bad days, it can be once every 15 minutes until the 'ghost' disappears and it returns to its normal error rate of three a day. I've tried changing antennas, changing location in the house to test if its an environment issue, using it on different systems, and so on. I've gone so far as downloading old firmware for it that some people suggested helps fix the problem. Contacting Linksys would be pointless because theres too many people claiming this problem and I'd rather not bother with it anymore. So in the trash it went and I got a different product with no issues in a month. So beware v3 of this model.

Overall Review: I only had the v3 model and my issue may not occur on other versions. Configuration of this device was tedious to say the least, so 'standard users' may have difficulty of getting this device to work if they have a complex home network.

Final hurrah! for my old system

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Graphics Card 100228L
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Graphics Card 100228L

Pros: This card is the best and last card to be produced for the legacy AGP slot. Drivers from the ATI site work flawlessly. This card can even power those beautiful 30 inch displays at their native resolution, such as the Dell 3008WFP. Then again, if you have the cash for that, why buy this?

Cons: None that I can say for sure. However some HD flash video doesn't play smoothly anymore as it did on the 6600... most likely just need an OS reinstall which I haven't done yet. Other than this odd quirk, everything else runs far (emphasis on far) better than before.

Overall Review: Upgrading from my old 6600 GT, all of old games now look great and I can also play games I wasn't able to before. If you don't have the cash to build a new system, this will be the best money you'll spend. Just note however that this cards power will be limited by your processor depending on what you have. But this is a great crutch to keep you going til you have the coin to build a new system, then you could use this old system as your media center PC.

Best 2.1 Desktop Speakers

Bose® Companion® 2 Series II Multimedia Speaker System
Bose® Companion® 2 Series II Multimedia Speaker System

Pros: These little speakers put out some astonishing bass for their size. Every single 2.0 / 2.1 desktop speaker set out there has been sub-par when it came to bass... and that is to be expected. However, these speakers are the exception to the rule. Excellent treble, mid-range, and bass reproduction in a small footprint.

Cons: The speakers only have RCA inputs on the back, and it comes with RCA cords. Would have been nice to see an RCA to Mini-jack converter to come with the unit. No matter though, those converters are only around 1.50 at any electronics store.

Overall Review: If you have very limited space but want the best sound you can get, these are the speakers for you. They are also nice to use outside during small parties to play your music while being relatively out of sight.
