Good card
Pros: Digital / Analog TV on your computer, Remote Control, Works well with VLC media player as well. Plays is surround sound stereo on my system. CC display works!
Cons: TV guide function does't work as far as I can tell. I have a P4 2.8ghz with 64MB AGP video 1.5GB Ram. I can watch analog TV fine, but my computer is too slow for watching the HD channels in FullHD 1080 resolution. Too choppy on this system. I would assume you need a more modern setup to get a good result with this (3.2ghz HT CPU with agp 8x or better) Any basic Dual-Core processor with PCI-E video card would be fine.
Overall Review: Good buy for the money for a PCI card.
Disappointing under Windows
Pros: Works with one input at a time, so-so linux support
Cons: This card does NOT work with more than one input at a time under windows drivers.
Overall Review: Why put 4 inputs on a card when it only supports one at a time.
Great product
Pros: Excellent at stripping rg-59 security siamese wire. It perfectly cuts the ends for twist on bnc connectors. Doesnt even nick the outer shielding braid
Cons: none
Overall Review: fast and ease
Better than expected
Pros: Easy to install and setup. Worked right out of the box, intuitive product design and setup. Records easily for months with 4 cameras and a large HDD (500gb-1TB). Has Apache and Java based HTTP monitoring system to access remotely...NICE!
Cons: Manual is so-so, but not a deal-breaker. About 5-7 FPS/carmea (30fps total split 4 way). Not clear if the program will overwrite old stored video on HDDs, so I created a monthly batch file to clobber files older than xx-xx-xxxx date.
Overall Review: Can't beat this card for a cheap and easy to install DIY / Roll your own security system. I would assume this card/software requires XP Pro and a Video card with at least 64mb ram. XP home users may not be able to use all aspects of the software. If you can't see your video feeds remotely via HTTP, check your ports and install the latest JAVA offline pack! If you are looking for state of the art and perfection, spend more money, this is a basic setup that works well.
Great card
Pros: Excellent card for the money. High data transfer rate. Has pin headers and USB port "inside" card for front panel / card reader connection.
Cons: none
Overall Review: For the price, you can't beat this card. Some cards have a "flaky" chipset
Overall good keyboard
Pros: The F and J keys have nicely raised bumps so you can home yourself easily. The function keys are easy to navigate, even if you cant see them. I can type fast on this keyboard, good for playing games, or for typing. Nice thin board. Nice coloring.
Cons: I would agree that the shift key takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it is not so bad. Keyboard LED's are hard to read.
Overall Review: For the money it is a good keyboard. If I had a choice, I would have bought different one.
