4.2 GHz on air!!!!
Pros: Stock cooler is sufficient. Got two free T-shirts with it. (Medium & Large) Cheaper than expected. Fastest AMD quad core to date. Far cheaper than Intel's offerings.
Cons: No cons here. Sorry Intel. :(
Overall Review: I used the Crosshair iv Formula to oc this baby to 4.2GHz and surprisingly the stock cooler held its ground at 45 degrees celsius. Not bad if you ask me, but I'm not gonna push it further. I'm really glad I didn't go for the 1090T cause most games don't NEED 6 cores. And just when I was about to grab the 965..........TA-DA. The 970 appeared and dethroned him as the fastest AMD Quad core available.
be the best!
Pros: Look great. Premium packaging. Quality assured.
Cons: None!
Overall Review: The fan on this thing is super quiet. be Quiet really stands by their brand name.
NZXT Phantom
Pros: Lots of room. Built-in fan controller. Enough fans to keep everything cool. LED on/off switch is a nice touch. Huge case, but NOT bulky like others. Somewhat unique design. My 5870 has enough room to do backflips. Lots of room (worth mentioning twice)
Cons: See other thoughts.
Overall Review: I bought the 3 additional NZXT fans to add to this case and was really surprised when I noticed that the screws included with the fans did not/would not fit into the screw holes in the case. At first I was just annoyed that NZXT made a simple mistake like that, then I decided to check the screws that came with the case and it so happened that they fitted perfectly because they were made especially for certain screw holes. So basically the screws that comes with the separate fans are duds. That glitch aside, everything else went well. My system: Samsung T260HD Tv/Monitor Crosshair iv Formula AMD Phenom ii x4 970 OCZ AMD Black Edition ram (2 x 2GB) Tagan BZ 900W psu XFX HD5870 WD 320GB HDD X 3 Pioneer DVD Burner Logitech Z5500 (The best 5.1 surround sound system ever) Logitech MX5500 Revolution Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit)
GREAT monitor
Pros: Comes with a battalion of connections. Built-in TV tuner. Picture quality is awesome. TOC is really cool. It's HUGE. It's SAMSUNG!!!!!!
Cons: Audio quality is not that great at all but I've got the Logitech Z5500 (Best 5.1 Surround sound system ever created thus far) so I don't need to use the built-in speakers. No height adjustment. No VESA mounting. The monitor isn't 100% stable when mounted on the base, it rocks slightly when touched. Then again you probably won't let anyone touch it because it's a finger print/dust magnet and leaves smudges all over. No RCA (Red, White, Yellow) sockets. Took me a while to get over that... :(
Overall Review: This thing his huge (IMO). Upgraded to this from a Viewsonic 20" VG2030WM. The Viewsonic was, and still is good because it didn't die on me, but the T260HD is sooooo much better. I had to reconfigure my desk at home just to accommodate it. Currently I've got my PC (1920 x 1200) connected to it via DVI, Cable connected via the Coaxial, the Logitech Z5500 speakers connected via the Digital Audio Out (Optical) and my XBOX 360 connected via the HDMI port at the back. And you wanna know what the best part is? I've still got more ports available!!!!!!
Read the reviews!!!!
Pros: Great board, lots of features, keyboard batteries last quite a while, comfortable, excellent for scrolling through long documents. It's LOGITECH!!!!
Cons: LCD and keys not backlit, bluetooth connection assistant NEVER worked for me and I've had this board for almost 2 years and no update released to fix the problem. The mouse can only be properly used by right-handed folks like myself.
Overall Review: For a keyboard and mouse combo of this caliber, IMO the LCD and keys should have been backlit. I did my research and read/watched many, many reviews so I knew from the start that this combo was not designed for gaming. And I use it to dual boot Windows XP Pro (SP3) 32bit and Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (previously Vista Ultimate 64bit) without any glitches.
Just what I wanted
It fit as expected and now my build looks clean and complete. All you need is the know-how to operate a screw driver and you're good to go.
