The reviews scared me but purchased anyway.

APEVIA ATX-CB600W 600W ATX12V Power Supply Additional 115/230 V Selector Switch
APEVIA ATX-CB600W 600W ATX12V Power Supply Additional 115/230 V Selector Switch

Pros: 600 Watts, very affordable at the time of purchase (with rebate I have yet to send off). powers a Phenom II quad, 4GB ddr2 1066, 9800 GT Akimbo and 4 HDDs. NO smells, Relatively NO sound. I had to check that it was indeed running because it was so quiet. So far it is fulfilling it's duty as a temporary replacement / backup psu. It gets 4 eggs (for now) in comparison to other products in the same tier and cost it is in. If this PSU was $89 I wouldn't give it 4 eggs. But for the $20 to $35 price range for a lower end product it's an easy 4 eggs.

Cons: It's made to be more cost effective for the company not the consumer. It's apparent the moment you pull it out of the box. In no way does this compare to a realistic PSU in a box that requires 600 watts in the real world. I want that to be clear if anyone is actually needing real power, save your money and get something that's been out there a while and has passed the test time and time again.

Overall Review: My power supply friggin quit right as I was about to order the video card I've been waiting to purchase, so that put everything on hold. I saw this has a decent wattage, enough adapters for a backup system to prevent the situation I'm in now from happening again, and with the instant discounts and rebate with $2 shipping it was a better deal than to go with a brand I never had any experience with. Apevia has had some ups and downs and sometimes the product isn't at the advertised ratings, but this plain/basic/simple model is performing better than I had anticipated. I will still replace my PSU with a better product, BUT I am thinking about picking up another one of these for another pc in my house that will end up with the 9800gt and keep this as a spare emergency psu. You can bet your hard earned money if this messes up on me in anyway I will revise my review.

Beware....

ASUS M3A78-T AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M3A78-T AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: ALL of the on-board features. (if they work properly) Recognized Phenom II 940 out of the box. Absolutely the easiest build I've ever done. Flashing the Bios is extremely easy and will probably need to be done, so be prepared. Everything is pretty spacious, unless you get a larger cpu cooler and OCZ Reaper.

Cons: ATI and Vista Ultimate 64 problems. The on-board video and Vista 64 do not play well together, seems to be a 2 year long issue that has yet to be resolved. Look at the Asus forums and AMD, you'll learn all about it. I wish I would have! Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have purchased this board. The 1066 configuration is problematic and causes problems so I'm having to run my memory at 800. Luckily I haven't had any problems with the hdmi like some people. I don't know what else to say other than this board is a fat disappointment. I'm going to be purchasing a board that doesn't require so much of my little time just to make the system stable when running my ram at the proper speed, or using on-board video.

Overall Review: It's not entirely the fault of Asus, but they seem to have stopped caring about their products lately. I will seek other brands from now on.

EXTREMELY UPSET!

Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC "compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply
Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC "compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply

Pros: Powered my pc for 2 years. Had a steady voltage.

Cons: Took out motherboard as well. Unsure at this point what other collateral damage occurred. Powered my pc for 2 years. Heard a POP, saw a bit of flash from pc window, watched the pc shut down. Quickly unplugged power after that fiasco and inspected pc components to find the culprit. Low and behold it was the ONE thing in my pc that I thought would have lasted the longest. I reviewed this PSU all over the internet with high praises due to it's steady voltage, now I'm conflicted. Still under warranty but have no clue how this will go. Spent a small fortune on this thing to ensure longevity. Incredible enough the backup PSU by APEVIA purchased months prior to this one with a horrid rating still works just fine and costs 1/5 the price.

Overall Review: I shouldn't be writing a review now because in a few days I will either be happy because of replacement OR I will be incredibly more furious because of customer service and/or finding out it took other more expensive components with it. I ALWAYS revise reviews when something happens or year later something has impressed me a lot for those of you that could be possible purchasing a used or discounted or old but new products. I will revise this once the fog has cleared.

DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!

Microsoft XBOX 360 Live 12 Month Gold Card
Microsoft XBOX 360 Live 12 Month Gold Card

Pros: NONE! ABSOLUTELY NONE!!! STAY CLEAR of XBOX and XBOX LIVE!

Cons: MICROSOFT! Before I was able to use my prepaid card, MS said I had to pay the $10 renewal for my month to month. I paid it, ALL DEBT was wiped clean, I was then able to insert the code into my account. I received an email stating this: We are contacting you because we have been unable to charge your credit card for your Prepaid 3M Xbox LIVE Gold service(s) being billed to you through Microsoft Online Services. The following credit card is the current payment method on your billing account: " That's a direct quote. I contact through email, 4 days later they say to contact via phone. I call today and they say that I owe for LAST JANUARY. THis is after an hour of them telling me I owe for February and I convince them to look at the transactions and they discover they are wrong. Then somehow accuse me of not paying for last January. They never resolved the fact the email says I OWE for a 3 m prepaid subscription. They refused to look into the matter and told me I'd just get suspended.

Overall Review: I have PREPAID for months and in no way am I in debt to MICROSOFT. I have all my billing statements. They told me I was a delinquent and didn't care that I have been a member for as long as I have. They flat out refused to investigate the problem and basically told me to pay up or lose all of my points, all of my MSpoints, everything. They have done others the same as me and there is a good chance they'll do it to you too! Check and record ALL of your payments. Even then, they will still threaten you, but stand your ground and get what you deserve! The Live supervisor I spoke to also stated that XBOX does not support prepaid cards and that it is up to live to honor them or not.

Look NO Further!

Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC "compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply
Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC "compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply

Pros: The Antec TruePower New 750W is fantastic. The wires are sturdy and long. All black plastic, black everywhere. I love it. The fan is nice and quiet. This has an abundant amount of connections. sleeved. HEAVY! Modular (for the most part). Quality material is definitely used in the manufacturing of this psu. Active PFC. SLI certified. 9 sata. 4 pcie adapters. 5 year warranty. Meets the needs of enthusiasts and provides plenty of room for average users to grow into. The price is hot! Even at FULL msrp this is a steal. It's included in some really nice combos upon writing this. You should definitely check them out. I'm just extremely impressed with this power supply. I feel guilty for being this excited over it. It's a pleasure displaying it through the window of my rig. This is a power supply that you will tell people about. You will recommend it. BUY IT!!!

Cons: There are none at this time. Maybe the Purple sticker? haha I would have chosen gray. Seriously, I have no qualms with this whatsoever.

Overall Review: Scored a 9 out of 10 on Jonnyguru. 9.5 for performance. I strongly suggest to anyone considering this or considering a PSU at this price range to grab this. You will not be disappointed. As for the modular design and the modular design of other power supplies that are similar to this one, I'm pretty sure they were designed this particular way to evade ULTRA'S patent claims on modular power supplies. Ultra's patent claim has also been recently smashed. For whatever the true reasoning is, I don't mind the design at all. With the steady stream of voltage this supplies it can have hairy legs and zits for all I care. And as always, if it messes up in anyway at anytime, I will update my review.

RE: The box sure is pretty

ASUS Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity EAH6850 DC/2DIS/1GD5/V2

Pros: To the reviewer beneath this whose pc won't post. Have you made sure your bios is updated and that your power supply is actually able to power this?

Cons: Try going to asus forums for help too.
