I am impressed

Thermaltake Xaser VI VG4000BNSB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Thermaltake Xaser VI VG4000BNSB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Missive internal space. Very modular from front door to fan size selection. Plenty of places for fans. Black on black. Heavy at ~40lb empty (for me it is a plus, makes it hard to move). Lots of air flow. Aggressive looking (I though it would be a minus at first but I like how it looks). x10 expansion slots. Larger than the average full-tower case (from what I hear and read). I want to have water-cooling in the future and I know which parts I plan to use. Black goes with everything. At $175 before rebate (with shipping) and $148 after rebate ($30 rebate, -$3 for express) the value is much better than $200-$300. I have been looking at this case for months...

Cons: Hard to keep greasy fingerprints off of it (remedied with alcohol and included cloth). Needs more spacers and washers, especially for those who install fans at the bottom. Needs x2 more fans (120mm or 140mm, I have x2 scythe 120mm coming in the mail as of this review). One of the tool-less expansion tabs broke, the supplied screw was required for a fix to install my graphics card.

Overall Review: My rig parts are not high performance but I do like the cooling, internal space and color. After delivery transplantation of parts was less complicated than my previous mid-tower case. I plan to keep this case for a very long time and it feels well built to last the years. With the power on the front of this case looks really mean. As stated before Thermaltake could have given the user x2 more fans for the bottom of the case but that can be fixed, at a price. Western Digital Scorpio Black WD3200BEKT 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Just about none

Cons: Took forever and 2 days to format. After formatted the drive failed and all data was lost. Cost for RMA.

Overall Review: Working with Newegg RMA for a new drive.

Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 USB Connector Circumaural Stereo Headset
Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 USB Connector Circumaural Stereo Headset

Pros: You get what you pay for, namely good performance. The audio is good, the microphone receiving ability is good. For gaming (online and solo), movies and music it gets the job done. Has an integrated microphone off button with red indicator light (I keep pressing the thing by accident but that is me).

Cons: You get what you pay for, is not built to last in the long haul. Is not built to last against abuse of daily use for over one year. Translation it will start to malfunction after the warranty expires. I never used it for Microsoft live chat. After a while (over a year) the wires are developing a short and the audio quality is erratic at time. I have another headset that last longer than my current Microsoft ones. It is made by Microsoft.

Overall Review: I use this headset on Windows Vista and Windows 7 (worked better on Vista than 7 but that is another story). I use the headset every time I turn on my PC because a headset is cheaper than a comparable speaker system.

Disgruntled user

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit

Pros: It is faster than Windows Vista x64 ...and that is it.

Cons: I prefer the user interface of Windows Vista, windows 7 is a hassle to work with. "Align to grid" and "Auto arrange" are disabled, this is a big drawback for me as I am constantly working with my files and as a result I NEED TO MOVE THEM IN THE FOLDERS. Libraries are difficult to work with, quickly disabled. Windows media player won't work right, the user interface is a hassle to try and work with. Microsoft added pop ups to the OS, and I can not properly disable them. I stopped using Windows Internet explorer and started exclusively using Firefox, Windows 7 crashes many Firefox drivers to often resulting in Firefox freezing for a few minutes. Even with this bug Firefox is still preferred over Internet Explorer. Very difficult to disable and/or uninstall "new and helpful" features. Crashes games if you are not mindful. The price, AND Windows stopped listening to their customers.

Overall Review: If you liked Windows XP, if you were OK with Windows Vista, you just might HATE Windows 7. I know I do. I am seriously considering switching to Lynux, and I preferred windows Vista over this Windows 7 trash. In my opinion Windows XP was the peak of Windows, afterwords it quickly became polished manure.

Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2 PC Game
Dead Space 2 PC Game

Pros: Twisted story, Twisted enemies, Twisted allies, (Censored) up universe. This game is a story about greed, corruption and mind control. The hero is probably one of the few sane men alive and that's tough as he is constantly on the verge of a psychological breakdown. The visuals are impressive to say the least, only a few details prevent it from being borderline realism (necromorphs look weird sometimes).

Cons: no DLC support. Feels less scary than it's predecessor. That game required diapers to play and that is during the day. This one there are less psychological scares, it could be that I played the first and have a feeling of what to expect. Multiplayer progress needs fine tuning. This is a badly done consul port as there is little optimization for the user.

Overall Review: This game though in my opinion tame in the fear department in comparison to it's predecessor is still scary. Do not eat or drink before playing (constant fear and food do not mix well with some) and use the restroom before you start (There is a rumor that some have lost bladder control while playing this game). Rig CPU: quad core @ 2.6 GHz RAM: 8gigs @ 900MHz Graphics: GTX 260 Core 216 SSC

Crysis 2

Crysis 2 PC Game
Crysis 2 PC Game

Pros: For modern PC's I have an average one. Eye candy is good, Story is So-so (slow to develop) but does keep you interested if you are into the genera. Gameplay is impressive. Less hardware demanding than it's predecessor. The Game engine. Gameplay wise this is one of the few FPS that played better than I had expected on my rig.

Cons: Multiplayer HACKERS!!! (AKA people who should be banned from playing.) Realism (Yes it is a contradiction, realism in a sci-fi game but the realism is there but iffy). The details of the game do not add up to real life, specifically firearm details. Lots of alien changes in comparison to Crysis 1.

Overall Review: People say the game is less visual than it's predecessor, it may be true but not many played the game due to high hardware demands. This game is a bit of a RAM hog but that is a good thing as it helps smooths the game out. PC Specs Intel Quad Core @2.6GHz 8GB RAM @ 900MHZ EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 SSC I can play maxed out without any noticeable frame rate drops at 60 FPS.
