Pros: Great capacity at a great price. I thought it was a good price 7 months ago and it has only dropped a lot since.

Cons: First one failed. I started getting error messages, ran Samsung's diagnostic tool which confirmed many bad sectors. Returned it for a replacement.

Overall Review: Despite having everything backed up, it is still quite a headache to return a hard drive since you can't use your laptop unless you have a spare. I used the 80gb drive that I was replacing and was able to stay operational while waiting for a replacement. Had to return to Samsung directly and not Newegg which was actually pretty efficient. I've had the second drive in place for about 4-5 months and it has generally worked well, but have had 2-3 shutdowns which referenced a hard drive initialization error. I was able to just restart the laptop with no ill effects, but I am nervous about this drive and am faithfully backing up data.
