Overpriced on Newegg

Apple iPhone 4 32GB Black Smartphone for AT&T only (MC319LLA)
Apple iPhone 4 32GB Black Smartphone for AT&T only (MC319LLA)

Pros: It is fun with apps. I had a nexus one before and even with Froyo it felt like alternating screens would lag. Since I bought it without contract I did not have the data plan. Froyo apparently makes data plans necessary when I noticed that I could not save my contacts and called T mobile about this.

Cons: You can get it for 699 at the apple store without contract and even with tax it is cheaper than newegg. Price has been like that since it came out.

Overall Review: Apps is what makes this phone so great. Other manufacturers may trump it in raw horse power but this iOS is smooth as butter in operation and has probably crashed on me once while my N1 has done it on numerous occasions right out the box and homepage translations seem laggy.

Not quite there yet.

Pros: This thing has an awesome form factor that is actually quite helpful for traveling and going to classes with on a regular occasion. Its the Window's version of the Macbook Air. It is the cheaper end of its Ultrabook category which is composed of only several competing models from other companies.

Cons: This thing has a horrible battery life. It gets about a little over 2.5 hours of basic usage such as MS Word and some web browsing. This thing is not ready to compete with the Macbook Air pr likes of the Samsung model and other similarly priced 1300 dollar models. No SSD is a killer for something that would vastly improve this this laptop in terms of speed and maybe a little extra battery life.

Overall Review: It seems like the current formula for a decent Ultrabook is still at the Macbook Air's price range and this model is a poor comparison. Maybe 4 years ago it might have been alright for a laptop to only achieve a little over 2 hours away from the plug but in mobile computing where the competition is usually 5 hours away from the plug with similar tasks is kinda pathetic. This is definitely not a true Window's competitor to the Macbook Air. The Samsung Ultrabook has more promises in performance with slightly less battery then the MBA. It might be another couple of years before someone gets the formula right.
