Pros: Very quiet, exceptional cooling. With the original H/S & Fan, my AMD X2 4200+ was running 40-43C idle and 62-67C under full load (using CPU Burn-in). Now the CPU runs 36-40 idle and 49-53C under full load, that is a 14C drop. I just used the provided thermal paste and did not polish the block.
Cons: The kit only comes with some silicone thermal paste (white) so you will have to get your own arctic silver if you wish to get maximum thermal contact. Also the block does not have the best finish, so I would recomend polishing the surface if you want to get the best results possible. (I have done neither of these so i will post another review once I have done so)
Overall Review: Some have complained about the AMD clip that comes with this item, so I would like to clear that up for anyone looking to buy this. If you mount it correctly, it works perfectly. What I believe some are doing it trying to center the fan above the socket, which it is not designed to do. Notice that the copper block is offset over half an inch from the center of the fan, so in order to get maximum thermal contact with the processor, you will have to position the fan significantly to one side, leaving lots of extra space for the tightening lever. (I chose to let it hang over my northbridge, but you could have just as easily put it close to the power supply fan for added airflow)
Freezes up while playing DVD's
Pros: Recognized easily and works most of the time.
Cons: I have 2 of these and they both freeze up while trying to play a DVD about half the time. About 30-45 minutes into a DVD it will freeze up. I will have to unplug the drive and reconnect it before it will begin to play, and it will usually freeze up again within a few minutes.
Overall Review: I am using these with a Lenova IdeaCentre Q150(40814AU). I have not tried it on any other systems, so it is possible that my troubles are related to the USB power available in this PC.
Not bad for the price
Pros: It connects to my cell phone just fine and is pretty clear and somewhat comfortable to wear. This is also a great price for a bluetooth headset.
Cons: Not rechargable, requires AAAA batteries which are hard to find and expensive. The batteries, in my experience, only last about 5-7 hours of talk time.
Overall Review: I didn't buy this device on newegg. This device CAN be used in either ear, just remove the retainer clip and turn it around and viola, it fits on your other ear.
