Unreal Value, major bang for your bucks!!
Pros: Built like a tank and wieghs about as much. Packed with lots of fans, Very, very quite. Sides hinge out and down, Easy access to drive bays. Well executed front door assembly.Good cable routing and identification. Nice fancy blue LED lighting( my kids all love it at least) Heavy duty clear plastic side panel( nothing cheap about this thing). 550 W PS included in deal. Packaged very well with all parts as advertised.
Cons: Minor cons Side panel latch poped loose in no time. Went back together with no problem. Once you figure out why it happens you can adjust your latch opening skills to prevent it from happening again. Where's the HD light LED? Mine is inside-back of front door, sort of a odd location to hide it. Not visible unless you are looking at inside of door when its open-hidden behind a mesh screen. ( Only red LED out all the blue ones) Cannot attach MOBO power cables to MOBO until side is closed up(nit picking).
Overall Review: This is a lot of case for the money. I cannot even begin to comprehend how you can manufacture such a thing for so little money!! Well made to boot. Very well ventilated.( Front to back/top airflow) Tooless design. I really like the 120mm fan blowing in through Drive bay. Nice mesh screen to keep the big stuff from getting sucked through case. PS works, would upgrade eventually to somthing much better and keep this one as a backup. Well finished exterior, nicest looking case I've ever owned. Highly reccomend this case. Ok card
Pros: Small size, low noise, low power draw at idle. HDMI, DVI and D-port. My primary reasons for buying. Low price if rebate was honored by MSI. Reasonably fast, 6.9 WEI rating.
Cons: On principle alone I will never buy an MSI product again. I've been stiffed twice by these people on the offered rebates. I really expected better performance - gaming wise(not why I bought the 7750 series card).
Overall Review: Crysis 1 will only play on medium graphics setting at 1080P. High settings playable but choppy at times. Horizontal tearing is annoying as well, using vsync helps reduce problem. This pc is setup for business graphics 24/5, graphics quality on those days is very , very good. Just a little disappointed on gaming performance when I'm not working:)
Stay Away - Extreme Fire hazard!!
Pros: None
Cons: Extreme fire hazard !!
Overall Review: Had TWO of these in a Mediapc. First one fried one 3 TB HD. Burned up at the SATA connection only. Thought it was a fluke. 2 months later second cable caught Fire frying both ends of connector. Both Hard drives toasted Total data loss. Thank goodness I was in house and was able to intervene. Please read negative reviews first on any electrical product. This was 2 years ago. Felt compelled to write a review. Especially after seeing others are experiencing exact same failure!!
DOA
Pros: Lots of room for airflow. No sharp edges. Side panels easily removed and replaced. Bottom Ps location. Lightwieght. First case in years to come with a complete hardware set, ties etc. will be nice and tidy. Lots of screened openings all over this case, there will not be any hot spots in this case!
Cons: Psu dead on arrival. Fired it up, fans started wirring and glowing and then the heartstopping sound of the circut breaker in the next room popping open. Psu cables too short... ATX12V plug would not reach connector on mb. If you remove psu and flip it over it moves the cables a bit further in the right direction so it barely fits. the power connectors are crummy, once you get them together you'll find it nay impossible to pull them apart. No instructions included...thats a first for me. What I was able to find on the internet was nearly useless. Figured it out anyway as everything is well labeled. Case arrived box intact, but bottom plastic foot broken(fixed with crazyglue), top 5.5" bay cover caved in( bent it back into shape -mostly). Motherboard ATX was abit difficult to line up on standoffs. Mb edge is rubbing against back of case, abit closer than I would like. Cant use the tooless internal HD storage locks with my SSD adapter, front fan is blocking adapter, I may cut down plastic adapter to see if I can get it to line up with tooless pin lock. I dont understand why fan sits back one full inch from front of case, if the fan was moved forward 1 inch the above issue would not exist. Otherwise use included screws.
Overall Review: We'll see how newegg handles psu issue, for now I borrowed a 550 W Antec from another pc, new pc is humming along fine for now. I was really hoping I was not going to have to buy a new psu, but the Antec fits purrfect. In the end its an ok case with areally bad PSu, iguess you get what you paid for. The Smiladon I bought prior to this is a much better case, once I get this one tweaked abit we'll see if my impression changes for the better.
Mixed feelings
Pros: Works as advertised.
Cons: Note : I absolutely hate manufacturers insistence on producing their own proprietary media.... Olympus and Sony in particular, these two brands( cameras) are to be avoided unless they adopt or support more common media types. Having their own media type requirement shuts out competition and results in consumers having to buy their products which in time lose support and upgrade paths end as well. Finding media replacements will be very challenging when this occurs.
Overall Review: Using this card in a Olympus C5000zoom digital camera. Was worried camera would have issues, given the cameras firmware predates this card type and size. Camera takes about 10-15 seconds to start up as a result. However once initialized, the camera saves and loads images as usual. having the extra capacity is worth it in the end. Highly recommend as a high capacity replacement to original 32 MB card.
Excellent Ram Upgrade for Dell laptop
Pros: The ram modules do what they are supposed to do. No errors, ok packaging( could be better) considering how harsh shipping services are now a days. New Egg service is beyond great. Consistently reliable as well.
Cons: None
Overall Review: This is a ram upgrade for a Dell B130 laptop. Laptop was very bogged down (unresponsive) with the original 512 MB ram....what a joke. Laptop is now very responsive with ram upgrade. Will try to upgrade CPU if I can find one.
XBOX360 320HD
I had to RMA a 320 GB harddrive twice back to this seller. They were quick to reply and pleasant to work with. In the end I requested a full refund which they did comply with as well. Their customer service is outstanding, I only wished the products they sell were as well, but given that I would still recommend them as a good reputable seller to do business with.
