Thrilled with this card!

Pros: VERY Quiet compared to a stock nvidia card. I've played Crysis Warfare for about 30 minutes now without any crashes - guaranteed the MSI FROZR 580 that I had would have crashed by now (typically within 10 minutes). I have done nothing different with drivers or anything else. I took out he MSI card this morning and put in the DirectCU card and so far it is great. It seems a little smoother in Crysis as well. I didn't actually run any FPS tests but I have my Crysis completely cranked now to enthusiast for EVERYTHING and 16Q and it doesn't seem choppy at all! It is possible I just got a defective MSI card so I'm not claiming they will all have the issue mine did. I can plug in one of my monitors using native display port and my TV using a standard HDMI interface so it turns out this was a better choice for me since they cost about the same.
Cons: Not sure these are exactly cons since it is pretty clear this takes 3 slots and the MSI only takes 2. If you are tight on space in your computer this is an issue but other than people doing SLI I can't imagine it will be a big concern for most. Again, this isn't a big con but I would have prefered 2 display ports and one DVI than 2 DVI outs - but certainly not everyone is going to want that yet - probably in a few years that will be the preferred connection.
Overall Review: I would say sound wise it is about the same level as the MSI FROZR 580 I got last week although they have a slightly different type of sound. I didn't use anything to actually measure it vs. the MSI so I can't say 100% for sure. I can say that it seems to run about 10 degrees celcius cooler under full load vs. the MSI card using the desktop gadget for nvidia temps. If you plan on going SLI you would need a different case than mine. My motherboard has enough high bandwidth PCIE slots that I could actually put in a second one of these cards and still have space between them but I would have to put it towards the bottom of my motherboard and since my PSU is below the motherboard in my case it would not fit. I was going to try the 6970 if I had issues with this card but I can pretty much say this 580GTX card by Asus works like a champ!
Horrible Delivery Service - get somewhere else

Pros: Great TV
Cons: Not worth dealing with PILOT delivery service, usually the next day I order even though I pay ground.
Overall Review: I get packages all the time from Newegg - always on time. This is the first item they've sent by PILOT. They called to schedule 3 days after I placed the order. They offered to deliver it 5 days later as the soonest. I waited around between the designated hours and blew off work - never arrived. I called halfway between the designated hours to verify delivery (I wanted to at least do some grocery shopping if they were going to be late). They assured me they would be there on time. NOPE - not on time. WHen I called back 30 minutes after the hours they offered to deliver they said they couldn't contact the office or the drivers and they "didn't know what to tell me". I'll never ever order a large item from newegg again. If they had used a real delivery service I would probably buy big ticket items from them again
Old model

Pros: Delivered relatively quickly
Cons: Old model - with much smaller CPU cooler. This is fine if you plan on putting in a better CPU cooler but if you think you might want to stick with the stock one this will require a faster RPM to keep it cool. I wish I'd known, I would have ordered elsewhere but now my timeline is too late to return it.
Still crashes

Pros: Relatively quiet when not under load
Cons: Crashes in Crysis. I thought it might be my install of Crysis and Crysis warhead so I removed my settings folder, uninstalled and reinstalled - still crashed. I then changed out my power supply to an even more powerful high end one - still crashes in both games with the current drivers available.
Overall Review: I'll return it and wait for a 6970 card I would like to become available.
Not thrilled so far

Pros: It is quiet - even when under stress it is pretty quiet. So far FEAR runs very well with all the settings very high.
Cons: I got the MSI 580 (shown above) but will probably return it if unless I can figure out what the issues are. I am using the latest available driver available on nVidia's web page of Feb 4, 2011 - I'm running Windows x64 enterprise (legit) with all the latest patches. Often in games such as crysis the mouse select will no longer work and you have to tab your way through menus although you can still use the mouse to navigate in the game through the jungle. Crysis and Crysis Warhead, the game will suddenly go to windowed mode and you can't change it back unless you go to video settings in the game and unselect full screen apply and reselect full screen and reply. It will often pop a windowed screen below the task bar so it is a pain in the patukis to even get back to the game. I already have the last patches available for both Crysis games. I'll see what else I can dig up but I'll probably return the card and just get a 6970 since I have good luck with my ATI 4870
Overall Review: The issue could be nVidia's latest drivers, it could be MSI's design. I would think of all games Crysis would be the most tested for a high end gaming card.
So close yet so far

Pros: Longer/deeper than most cases so it makes it possible to put more types of video cards into it. Plenty of air flow with options for many many fans Best feature for me is the drop in hard drive slot at the top - makes it easy to ghost drives, copy drives etc. without taking the case apart. The stock fans are quiet enough.
Cons: About .75" too short to comforably put in the longest video cards - e.g. those with the accelero 3 fan cooling solution like the sparkle GTX 580. about .75 too narrow on both sides -- for people who have tall CPU coolers who might want a side fan. Putting on the side with all the wire routing bows after you try to put some of your heavier cables through such as the motherboard power supply cable - sides won't fit properly. Since it is VERY open with mesh instead of solid sides every where for fans, it can be a tad loud unless you have a very quiet video card and CPU cooler. I ended up spraying the inside with 2 cans of plasti dip and putting on some accousti foam to quiet it down. Lastly the CPU hole on the wire/motherboard plate is a tad off so it hits your brace for your CPU cooler - kind of a big mistake IMHO Cooler master label not level so it looks cheap but you can remove the label which makes it look good :) The Optical drive holders don't work very well.
Overall Review: If they could make it about 1" deeper and about 1.5" wider they'd really have something impressive for the price! There is only one case I'd recommend more for mid level game enthusiasts who don't want to spend a few hundred on a case but it is $50 more - I'd go with the Corsair Graphite although I haven't tried it yet.
