Great Processor at a Great Price
Pros: Came with everything in retail packaging, overclocked to 3.7 GHz (101.5 x 36) with the stock cooler with temps at about 45-50 degrees centigrade, LGA 1155 compatible, pretty much everything that I wanted and fast as lightning
Cons: As everyone has pointed out, stock coolers are not the greatest for overclocking. But getting an extra 600 MHz for about 10 degrees hotter isn't terrible.
Overall Review: Paired with a SSD, dedicated graphics, and some high speed memory this sandy bridge model is more than enough for extended gaming use, supports fast boot times, and when I order stuff from Intel, I expect it to last
Decent product for the price, shutdown issue persists
Pros: The speed is good and I feel the range is adequate especially for the price point. I like the docked adapter and I found a great place to secure it on my desk and can adjust it much easier that way if necessary. Easy install process, no hiccups after installing the wifi/bt drivers
Cons: I have been experiencing pc issues with not shutting down my computer properly ever since I've used this hardware, tried multiple potential solutions and I am currently on the latest driver software from their website dated Dec 16 only to be stuck with this persisting issue I would have spent a little more money not to deal with this headache.
Overall Review: Not everybody is experiencing this issue, but I am and it sucks. Maybe it's a conflict with certain pieces of hardware but I feel like ASUS should have released a patch by now as they have to know by the feedback on this review site alone that it is affecting a lot of people. They should do something about it.
Bought during a promotional offer, great value
Pros: Bought at a very reasonable price, got the updated steam games after I purchased them for nickels on the dollars The games are great so far but I've only had a chance to play the first one The upgraded graphics were a nice plus to have access to when it was released
Cons: Unfortunately since they have released the official versions on console and other media, the price has rose and I don't think I would buy it at current price levels
Girlfriend enjoys it for what it is, but I'm not as much of a fan
Pros: Bought for gf on her birthday, she loves it and uses it regularly with the new version of the re-useable pods (sold separately) The price was a good bargain at the time based on the same color and model at big box stores Very convenient and based on what I know about the old keurigs, it has more features (color touchscreen, higher heating point, bigger water reservoir, etc) that I thought my gf would enjoy
Cons: The quality of coffee is not great, coming from someone who french presses and grinds coffee bought at local roasters If you are a lover of coffee for flavor, richness, texture, and other details you don't get that with this machine. But if you just need a quick cup for your tumbler/thermos on your way to work it works great in that regard. The plastic design feels flimsy and I fear certain parts may become more fragile with repeated use. The exterior is made of almost all plastic. It is heavy though so I don't think it would be easily knocked off the counter.
Overall Review: Great product for on-the-go coffee drinkers who just need that caffeine boost Don't buy if you are more interesting in the finer things of coffee, you won't receive the quality you desire Very convenient but all-plastic design
Pros: Avoids rental surcharges from cable companies (Pays for itself in less than a year) DOCSIS 3.0 Very reliable since purchase, approx 2 years ago
Cons: The LEDs can be very bright at night, so if you sleep where you use your system it will definitely need to be covered up or adjusted away
Best refurb product I've ever bought
Pros: It was refurbed, so I took a calculated risk, but I'm glad I did. Two years later my ASUS AC1750 router is still going strong and I hope to get another few years out of it. Price point on the refurb was a much better deal than getting it brand new.
Cons: The 5Ghz range could be a little better
