Crysis Ready

EVGA GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 512-P3-N841-A3
EVGA GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 512-P3-N841-A3

Pros: Runs Crysis, U3, FEAR, and Bioshock well. Overclocks well (clock set to 805, runs perfectly stable). Stays plenty cool with the monster fan. Minor plus, but it comes with nice packaging. You feel like you're getting something special when opening the box.

Cons: Huge card, fan is loud at max speed, have to manually adjust fan speed or you'll receive BSOD when playing taxing games. These are all very minor complaints, as I still give the card 5 eggs. If those seem like a big deal to you, buy a ps3 instead. PC gaming is not your thing.

Overall Review: My main goal in my most recent buil was playing crysis at high rez for as cheap as possible. This was the only component I spent a decent amount on, and it was completely worth it. Running an amd5000+, a cheapo ecs microATX board, and 2gb ram I get 80fps average in the FEAR bechmark at max rez, max settings, aa, everything. The video card is always the thing to go all out on, grab this card and you won't be disappointed.

Most cost effective upgrade on planet earth

Pros: cheap and fast and easy - was able to breathe new life into an old machine

Cons: always be sure to double check fitment!!! these style drives come in multiple sizes.

Overall Review: if youve got an old laptop with a spinning disk hard drive and an open m2 slot take the plunge and enjoy the performance! thanks newegg from a 15+ year customer

Awesome awesome awesome

D-Link Xtreme Gigabit Router (DIR-655) Wireless N300, USB SharePort, Gigabit
D-Link Xtreme Gigabit Router (DIR-655) Wireless N300, USB SharePort, Gigabit

Pros: It just works. I hate dealing with a network. I'm not using nearly all of the features, but it jsut works. It handles multiple devices without issue. I can't really test range (1200 sq ft apartment), but everything jsut works. PSP, DS, Work laptop, personal laptop, netbook, roommates laptop - it doesn't matter whos online at once, it just works. gig lan is also extremeley welcome, as I have four wired devices with this.

Cons: It's white. Wish it was black.

Overall Review: I haven't had to reboot ONCE. Again, I hate networking - I just want my devices talking to eachother. I'm not an idiot, I still build my own rigs - networking just frustrates me to no end. It doesn't anymore, because this router is awesome.

Shockingly good

RAIDMAX xB ATX-528B Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Unbelievable build quality for this price point. Also a fairly handsome case.

Cons: It doesn't come with a fancy lain li sticker for me to brag about.

Overall Review: If there was a deal on shipping I would literally buy fifty of these cases. Just a great solid case.

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card 100226L

Pros: Decent overclocker. Fairly fow noise. Part of a great (cheap) build I put together for my little bro.

Cons: Not the number one price/performance ratio, but that changes every hour these days.

Overall Review: Would definitely buy again, this little card has done everything I've asked of it.

ADATA 32GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model SPEEDY CF 32G

Pros: Stable. Fast.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Running in my ipod instead of the old HDD. Transfers are noticeably faster and I don't have any moving parts now. best move I've ever made.
