Pros: The difference between this and my onboard sound was immediately obvious, will never go back thank you very much. Love the options to adjust each individual speaker output, love the subtle environmental effects. Overall extremely happy with this card.

Overall Review: Other people have had problems with the microphone jack, I don't use a microphone, I use the Line-in jack every day, with zero issues. And yes, the line-in and microphone jack is shared, ie the same jack for one or the other.

Pros: Works in stereo?

Cons: No discernible surround sound capabilities whatsoever, wether set to analog or digital output still no sound from anything but front left and right. Control Panel Applet crashes rundll32.exe process.

Overall Review: RMAing immediately. Will seriously consider wrther I want to buy any more startech products, sorry startech you blew it.
