Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle 4 GB Black
Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle 4 GB Black

Pros: I bought this in store because I had gift cards. I looked at the 4gb compared to the 250gb. Xbox +2 USB ports for flash drives up to 16gb each gives extra space. +Runs well, had some glitches but after reading it was the game not the system (Fallout New Vegas) +Older games are getting cheap! Bought 3 games for $40 brand new online. Kinect +I found something my girlfriend will play! +Works well, recognizes body movement and controller locations (haven't seen a use for it yet)

Cons: I started with this version but exchanged it for the 250gb for the extra $100. *Main Reasons* Downloading games - I play at night with very low TV volume. The disc spinning is much louder than the TV. Online Content - If you plan to game online or buy downloadable content you need storage space. Half the 4GB was used with just system updates when I got it. Xbox - After a long session when it gets too hot it will start to lag, doubt it was the game (Borderlands) -New games still cost $50-$60

Overall Review: Kinect - I have my TV in the corner of a room and for the sensor I bought a small corner shelf and installed it above and behind the TV. It looks nice and was way cheaper than a TV mount. Also this setup the sensor seems to pick up foot movement better and forward and backward movement (towards/away from the TV) Regardless I still give it 5 eggs. There are multiple options for extra storage, I don't play long sessions so the heat issue isn't a big deal either. I have no online experience because I don't have the time to pay monthly to play at this time.

Eh

Seagate BarraCuda 7200.10 ST380815AS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate BarraCuda 7200.10 ST380815AS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: It worked the second time around.

Cons: I got a DOA for the first one which lead me to troubleshooting my build for a hour before I ruled that it was for sure a bad HD. I didn't at the time have an extra HD to swap to check if it was for sure.

Overall Review: Why do I have to pay to ship a bad part back to get a new one? If I knew I had to pay for shipping two times I would have gotten something for $50 that had free shipping. Maybe I'm just unlucky but out of 5 purchases 3 of them have had some defect (shipping damage or DOA).

Great camera

OLYMPUS Stylus Tough 6020 Blue 14 MP 5X Optical Zoom Waterproof Shockproof 28mm Wide Angle Digital Camera
OLYMPUS Stylus Tough 6020 Blue 14 MP 5X Optical Zoom Waterproof Shockproof 28mm Wide Angle Digital Camera

Pros: Obviously shock and waterproof. The auto mode works well for any photos that I have taken; night, low light, under water, action, bright/sun light. The video also looks great, I took a video of my nephew swimming for the first time ever and it worked fantastic. The continuous shoot mode is great too, just hold down the shutter and it will take 1.2 pictures a second. Also the camera has internal 1gb so if you don't have an SD card it won't matter too much. With help mode on it tells you what every setting does.

Cons: Navigation of the menu is somewhat slow but I just leave it on iAuto mode anyways. Panoramic shooting does splice the photos to where you still notice, I haven't used it much maybe 4 times so maybe operator error. If you use an SD card you don’t have access to the internal memory. I doubt I’ll ever fill an 8gb SD though. The microphone for shooting video is facing the operator, good for narration bad for capturing subject sound. Takes 4 seconds to fully boot. Instructions lacking, haven’t looked at the manual that is on the camera though.

Overall Review: My thought about battery life is that using 14MP setting probably kills the battery quicker then 8MP or lower. I'm going to test my theory soon, from what I've read 14MP is overkill anyways. I managed about 130 14MP pictures and a 720p video about 2 minutes long before it was done for (olympus website says 200 pictures for battery life so they are honest). The usb cable is not proprietary, my blackberry usb cable works with the charger. Olympus does sell a battery charger station $45 (cheaper elsewhere). I bought this from a different website for $225 w/free shipping.

Seagate BarraCuda 7200.10 ST380815AS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Works great now. First one DOA.

Cons: Paid $9 to ship DOA back could have gotten a much larger HD for the extra $9.

Overall Review: HD's seem to have pretty common DOA rate. Bought a 1TB WD a week ago and that was also DOA. So far 2 DOA for 2 different brand HD's. Maybe its just my luck.

DOA

Western Digital Blue WD10EALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: 1TB for $65 with free shipping.

Cons: DOA and now paid $10 to return. Also now I will have to wait the additional X number of days to get it shipped there and back. Could have gotten a better (Caviar Black) for the price.

Overall Review: It happens. Bought a 80 GB Seagate for my build before which was also DOA. Seems DOA fairly common for HDs or maybe I'm just unlucky.

Great Case

HEC 6XR8 Black 0.8mm Thickness SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
HEC 6XR8 Black 0.8mm Thickness SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I bought this case over a cheaper HEC case and it was well worth it. Very simple design and I like that it doesn't have LEDs all over it. Great screwless feature for the bays and there is plenty of hardware included.

Cons: Only quirk I had was the connector for the power LED is for a side by side pins. My motherboard (ASUS M4A78 Plus) has a pin configuration of pin space pin. So no power LED. Not a big deal for me though.
