Pros: Reads marginal disks far better than the competition. It's nice that this retail package includes software - and cables.

Cons: A bit pricey - but, you pay for quality.

Overall Review: This replaces a 880 that died when a DVD shattered inside. The only real complaint I had with the 880 was the slow tray mechanism - something that has been fixed with the 890.
