Satisfactory performance and build quality

Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 580 8GB GDDR5 PCI-E Dual HDMI / DVI-D / Dual DP w/ Backplate (UEFI), 100411NT+8GL
Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 580 8GB GDDR5 PCI-E Dual HDMI / DVI-D / Dual DP w/ Backplate (UEFI), 100411NT+8GL

Pros: - Great performance, cooling, and reliability at every game. You will enjoy Ultra setting with 60 fps at FHD 1080p if you turn off NVIDIA hair works, Physx and Uber sampling. - Fire Strike GPU score reaches 15300 in 1411 MHz factory default and up to 16500 by overclock (1450 MHz Clock and 2250 MHz RAM) and tight ram timing (Polaris Bios Editor auto configuration). The actual performance of RX 580 jumped at November 2017 by driver update. Don't believe the score measured at the launch day. In 2018, this card performs at the middle of GTX 1060 and 1070. - Hardware BIOS switch keeps one BIOS as a backup for peace of mind. - When a game crashes by overclocking, it automatically lowers the clock to factory setting. Next run will be fine.

Cons: - Rarely affordable price due to blazing heat of cryptocurrency. However, it is gradually coming back to sanity in April 2018.

Overall Review: - I had a lot of thermal throttling and high pitch GPU fan noise issues at a suffocating office mini tower case. I installed 2 additional fans at the front, but they helped a little. However, when I moved the whole system into a mid tower case and installed total 7 case fans, this GPU became a totally different beast with low pitch noise and no throttling! I realized that GPU fan themselves do their job perfectly. Good air flow is a must. - In real world situation, GPU power consumption hovers at 140 - 160W in gaming, 180W in benchmark. My 4th gen i5 system pulls total 310W from wall in benchmark. I've been using EVGA 450 BT (450W) PSU without any problem for a half year.

Performance bug on AMD GPU still exists

Wolfenstein The Two-Pack Bundle - PC
Wolfenstein The Two-Pack Bundle - PC

Pros: - Great shooting experience, nice alternative ways to get the same result

Cons: - These games are unplayable at some AMD GPUs, in my case, with 15-20 fps @1080p at RX580. However, I was able to play them smoothly in high detail with 40-60 fps @1080p at NVIDIA GTX765M laptop graphics, a GT1030 class GPU. It's not an optimization issue, but a serious bug. Bethesda has never fixed it for 4 years.

Overall Review: - Our hero is ambushed by cut-scenes repeatedly. They are surprising, but sometimes annoying.

3 USB3 and 1 eSATA. Better than DS220+ for connectivity

Overall Review: Certified refurbished DS218+ works perfectly and cosmetically satisfactory.

Cloning / USB function works well

[Clone] ORICO USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay Hard Drive Docking Station SATA III UASP UP TO 5Gbps Horizontal Lay-Flat HDD Installation Design for 2.5 Inch & 3.5 Inch HDD SSD Tool-Free
[Clone] ORICO USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay Hard Drive Docking Station SATA III UASP UP TO 5Gbps Horizontal Lay-Flat HDD Installation Design for 2.5 Inch & 3.5 Inch HDD SSD Tool-Free

Pros: - Works great in both cloning and USB modes. HDD LED turns red on cloning, while turns blue on USB mode. It is fairly intuitive and useful. - For cloning, push 2 hard drives in, turn on the docking station and wait for several seconds. Push clone button after beeps. Then it starts cloning and LED works like a Christmas tree. 4 TB took 7 hours, and 8 TB took around 14 hours.

Cons: - I expected that it will hold HDDs tighter than the top loading docking stations. Not that much, little disappointing. They still wobbles in this one. - I cloned 3 pairs and they work fine. However, one of my source drive got hundreds of bad sectors after cloning and died a few hours later. I don't fully blame the wobbling, but I assume it needs very stable place where nobody goes by. Fortunately, the target drive was fine. - The beep sounds little too loudly.

Overall Review: - I use this product to clone my old WD My Cloud 1 bay unit. I don't know anything about Linux, so the rebuilding process after potential HDD failure was a headache for me. It works well with cloning. However, don't connect source or target drive to Windows environment after cloning. It ruins the WD My Cloud file system and will show 0 TB partition. - I recommend this product as a cloning device because it lacks sturdiness as a permanent USB enclosure.

Looks better than ORICO clear case

JacobsParts Transparent 2.5 Inch USB 3.0 to SATA Hard Drive Enclosure External HDD SSD Enclosure
JacobsParts Transparent 2.5 Inch USB 3.0 to SATA Hard Drive Enclosure External HDD SSD Enclosure

Pros: - Tight, sleek, clean look - Decent connection / transfer speed

Cons: - Tight lid makes it hard to open, but it's much better than a loose lid if you don't change the drive frequently. Just buy another one (LOL)

Overall Review: - It looks satisfactory when I put PNY CS900 in it.

Fan is very noisy.

Cooler Master MA410P TUF Gaming Alliance Edition RGB CPU Air Cooler, Military Camouflage Design, 4 CDC 2.0 Heatpipes, 120mm RGB MasterFan
Cooler Master MA410P TUF Gaming Alliance Edition RGB CPU Air Cooler, Military Camouflage Design, 4 CDC 2.0 Heatpipes, 120mm RGB MasterFan

Pros: - Good price with mail-in-rebate - Good connection and loading mechanism. No problem for AM4 socket. - Better cooling performance than Wraith Spire - The package includes bracket for second optional fan.

Cons: - The fan doesn't spin at booting. High RPM setting can make it work, but it makes sharp noise when spinning up. The fan has no obstacle and turns smoothly when I turn it with finger. The motor is the source of the noise and slow turning. I had to use another fan instead of it.

CUK Case was okay, but it needs more sturdy packaging.

I bought a CUK computer case. The non-duct side of the case was crushed during the delivery. I had a hard time to flatten it and meet the motherboard screw holes with the case holes. There are only two Styrofoam in the box holding front and rear of the case. That's why the side was easily damaged. The paint was peeled off from the center part. I had to rotate that side to the wall.

Sold a used one instead of a new one. A team of total lies.

Stanley 1-(800) 325-0304 Ext 221 informed out-of-stock and offered open-box non-used iPad Pro 12.9" 128G with 5 year warranty instead of new one. He said that it was locked for one week in show window and never turned on. I accepted it. However, USPS record revealed that they already shipped it 3 hours before I got this phone call. I said to Shop Mark Down that I will check serial number at Apple website https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do to find if it is pre-activated or not. I said that If it is revealed as a used product, I will definitely return it. Shop Mark Down replied like below: Hello Thank you for your email. the item will be unused and unregistered. Thank you again I received it 7 days after they sent it by USPS. However, Apple logo at back has a lot of minor scratches. When I input serial number at Apple website, the Apple warranty expires at June 26, 2017. That means someone used it from June 26, 2016 because Apple applies 1 year warranty. Furthermore, they sent an adapter of 10W instead of 12W. I cannot accept this one with mere 5 year of SAFCO SERVICE warranty (who cares this?). A used iPad Pro 12.9 128G costs only 600$ in market and I paid 799$ at Black Friday for a new one. A lot of members of Shop Mark Down definitely lied to me and I will request return or replacement to a brand new one. I will update this rating if I will get treated fairly by them.
