Happy overall
Pros: Case has a decent amount of space Feels pretty sturdy
Cons: The iCUE stuff can't mix-and-match fans.
Overall Review: I've had this case for a few months now with no problems so far. The glass feels sturdy, the case overall doesn't feel flimsy either. There was enough room for organized cable management, though I did have to squish the panel a bit when closing it back up. Fans work fine using the rgb on the motherboard, but the iCue can't mix and match fans. If you want the ql series fan in the back for example you'll have to replace the stock fans as well. The included pic shows the first power on after setup. The front are the stock fans, in the rear is the LL series of the icue fans (hence why I know you can't mix fans)
Not TOO bad
Pros: Good air flow LED isn't too bright
Cons: A little noisy Screws are a pain in the ***
Overall Review: I have 3 of these. Other people say they're pretty quiet, but mine make a distinct pitch (in fact I can use a fan controller to tune them and play a chord). They have better air flow than my stock fans, but I only kick these in if I really need it. most of the time it isn't worth the noise. My biggest complaint is that the screws are REALLY tight. I actually had to turn them with vice grips because my screwdriver started stripping the heads. If I ever have to take them out it's going to be a struggle.
Not too shabby.
Pros: UEFI
Cons: UEFI
Overall Review: Setting up a dual-boot Linux/Windows box is more complicated with the new motherboards. After trying to get Debian up and running alongside Win 7 with UEFI for a while (I hear it can be done, I just couldn't figure it out) I had to fall back to Legacy BIOS. Now it works like a charm, but you lose some of those nifty UEFI features. That was more of a UEFI rant, really. It's a pretty great board.
Pros: clean, simple look inexpensive USB 3.0
Cons: space management is tricky
Overall Review: Installing components went smoothly. Originally installed DVD drive and fan controller in the 5.25" bays, modular power supply, EVGA dual-slot video card, PCI 2.0 wireless card, 3.5" hard drive, 2 additional case fans. Cable management was messy. Wired it up, installed Win 7, and ran a benchmark test. The CPU kept maxing out and OCCT would abort. I spent a couple hours clearing up the rats' nest. I unfortunately had to take out the fan controller to make some room (was able to remove the molex cable from the power supply and cleared out a space to shove some extra cable length out of the way). With some creativity and a few extra zip ties I was able to get things relatively clean. Ran a benchmark test again and the CPU runs at least 20 deg C cooler. So yeah, it's cramped but workable if you do some careful planning.
Things worked out in the end.
Pros: -I got my package and the contents were correct. -The Fed-Ex tracking number I received was correct. Cons: -The package arrived a day later than it should have. -Unacceptable packaging. -Customer service was shady. Other Thoughts: After I placed my order I read through the reviews of the seller and got really nervous. When I checked my bank account it showed that the money had already been withdrawn. It had been less than 6 hours and Newegg said my debit card had not yet been charged and the order had not yet entered the shipping phase. I got more nervous. I paid about $30 for same day shipping, but over a day later Newegg showed that my order still wasn't packed up. I was no longer nervous, I was worried. Since Newegg stated that there was still time to make changes to the order and the item hadn't been sent off yet I emailed Mega Retail Store stating I want to cancel the order and that I want a refund to my bank account. Later that day I received a response saying that the package had already shipped and there was nothing I could do; the email was from Grayson (apparently the only person who works there). Literally less than 5 minutes later (I checked the timestamps) the status "magically" changed to say it was in transit and a tracking number was provided. Fishy. At this point I could only hold my breath and wait. I paid for overnight shipping but since I waited another day before contacting them I received my order a day later than I should have. I only ordered one video card and the box was twice that size. When I picked it up I heard the contents shifting around. Inside the box my order only had one of those air bags next to it. My order was unharmed, but it very easily could have been. While it isn't the horror story some others have told I still had a poor and frankly nerve-racking experience. I can't help but think I dodged a bullet. Mega Retail Store seems very shady and I will not do business with them again. Newegg has been very good to me for 10 years and every time I've bought directly from them it's been a great experience. If you're going through the marketplace however make sure you read the reviews before placing an order.
