Pros: Once it gets started it runs quickly and quietly. For the price I don't think I could have made a much better choice. Runs great on Vista - no issues finding the driver or anything.

Cons: Unit was shipped to me with 1.06 firmware. Device failed to read disks after 2 weeks of use. Pioneer site provided support with firmware 1.09 which fixed the issue AND added speed and media recognition!

Overall Review: Would have been nice if the unit was shipped with 1.09 FW in the first place.

Just what I ordered!

Thermaltake TMG SL1 A2414 80mm Blue LED Dual PCI Slot Fan
Thermaltake TMG SL1 A2414 80mm Blue LED Dual PCI Slot Fan

Pros: Mounted flawlessly in LianLi PC-105B case. This case flips the mobo so the PCI slots are at the TOP. SUPER quiet. Exhausts plenty of hot air from the top of my case (heat rises!). My other system fans are spinning slower - whole system is quieter.

Cons: Wish it had mother board connector with adjustable speed, BUT I actually did some research and knew what I was buying before I purchased it.

Overall Review: so many complainers in the reviews. Do you people NOT read the specs? When you buy food do you close your eyes and pick stuff off the menu and then complain when it's not what you thought it should have been? How do you give a BAD review for things YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN?!?! Duh - it's not going to pull hot air from the bottom slots of your tower. Heat rises and this fan is only moving 10CFM. Use some common sense.

THANK YOU!

LIAN LI PC-A05B Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI PC-A05B Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: FINALLY! A mid tower case that doesn't have a bunch of uselss 5.25" bay covers! Thank you Lian Li! So far cooling is fantastic in this case. There is ample space for my optical drive, fan controller, and 2 hard drives, multi-card reader - and no silly ugly stupid extra drive covers!

Cons: Since I have the PC on the desktop it would have been nice to have the USB ports on the front rather than the top. I guess it's a good thing though to stand up every once in a while when I need to plug something in.

Overall Review: Fans might be a little (and I mean LITTLE - constant faint whir) noisey, but I'm not sure if the noise I'm hearing is the case fans or other system fans (CPU, Northbridge, GPU).

Good deal

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-550VX 550 W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-550VX 550 W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

Pros: Corsair = quality ... and this PSU is no exception. Installed like a charm and even has the right connections to run graphics cards in SLI without using adaptors. Plenty of connectors to go around for additional devices. Great looking black wire sheaths to keep unused wires tucked away looking subtle and not a huge eyesore.

Cons: Works great for a great price!

Overall Review: Don't expect this unit to be feature packed AND carry it's low cost. Looking back, I would have liked for this unit to offer modular plugs, a place to plug in to monitor fan speed, etc... but then again it would have cost more. This unit DELIVERS great performance at a GREAT price!

FANTASTIC!

Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD1500HLFS 150GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD1500HLFS 150GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Upgrading from a couple of original Raptor drives to these. I was considering running a Solid State Drive, but decided to go with a couple of these in RAID 0 (just like I ran my old Raptors) instead. I'm glad I did - these drives are great performers!

Cons: None!

Overall Review: These are mounted in a LIAN LI case which has a nice big fan to keep the drives cool. I did a rather large network file transfer to these drives which took 5 hours straight while simutanuosly the computer was being used to access internet, email, and complete some minor Photoshop work. I have a fan controller with a temp node mounted in between the drives - temp reading stayed constant cool without a budge! With proper case cooling I see not need to worry about these being 'bare' with no 'IcePak' sled.
