Great power supply
Pros: - Very quiet. It's not "silent" in the purest sense of the word, but it's quiet enought that the fan sound gets lost in the background ambient room noise anyway. - It has more than sufficient power for my quad core and 2 x 5870 video cards. - Eliminated the weird squeal that my previous PS had with some games.
Cons: - Not really a con, but I would have preferred that the main bundle of power cables (non-modular) to be a bit more flexible for cleaner cable routing purposes.
Overall Review: - It's mostly modular, but I ended using all the non-modular cables anyway, so even if they were all modular to begin with it would have not made a difference here. - I feel that it's worth mentioning that initially there was a shipping snafu, but NewEgg did a wonderful job it straightening it our for me. I am very satisfied with their customer support!
Great entry level monitor, but NOT for serious Gaming
Pros: - Looks great in Windows 7 64-bit. Colors are very rich, bright, and vibrant.
Cons: - Blacks are TERRIBLE! Even with many tries at fiddling with the OSD commands and the presets (which are practically useless). The black levels are very much like my old rear-projection TV -- it could never get to true black, only very dark grey. This is likely because the thing just too bright.
Overall Review: - I struggled with rating this one a three, but for me the poor black levels are just unacceptable. - If you're looking for a general purpose monitor, and aren't too concernced with black levels (night scenes in games, etc), then I think this monitor is fine. However for gaming, I cannot recommend it.
Very pleased
Pros: - Easy setup for on older system with PCI-E slot. - Inexpensive. - Kit contains one SATA cable. - Instructions were satisfactory for my needs.
Cons: - None for my setup.
Overall Review: I needed to add a couple of SATA ports to my older system, which I'm using as a combo HTPC and backup. The motherboard only has two SATA ports, so by adding this, I've now got two D: drives in software RAID 1 via the Windows disk management. As others have mentioned, take time and read the manual. For my experience, it's short but actually much better than normal. Basically my setup worked the first time.
Nice!
Pros: - Easy install in Windows 7. - Worked immediately on the first boot up. - Plenty fast for video streaming and simple games. - HDMI out works great; connected to my home receiver. - Stays cool, and does not need the extra power connector.
Cons: - none
Overall Review: I'm using this in my HTPC, and so far it's been great. I simply have the one HDMI cable running from the video card to my receiver, and both the video and audio are excellent. Very pleased.
Belongs in the "Best Memory Ever" Category?
Pros: - Works the first time, and at the stated speed.
Cons: none
Nice
Pros: - Full size standard keyboard. - Very light, but still feels durable. - Mouse is comfortable, and has an on/off switch.
Cons: none
Overall Review: There are only a few of those goofy "short-cut" type keys, but there all along the top and out of the way. It's basically just nice a nice standard 101 keyboard.
