Pros: I purchased this device in 2009. Here it is, 2013, and it's still humming along just fine (unlike many external HDs I've owned over the years). I have it attached to a MacMini that I use as a media center. Access speed is fine. No complaints about the noise.
Cons: I suppose the only con I can think of is that it can run pretty warm when under heavy use.
Failed after 5 months
Pros: Very fast, very quiet (when it worked). Boot-up time was significantly lower when I installed windows to this drive. Load times for games installed on the SSD were also very fast.
Cons: Completely crashed after 5 months. Become totally unresponsive and inaccessible. The adata website's RMA form is completely broken. I've submitted a request via the email address that the manufacturer has left as feedback to a number of other reviewers with failed Adata products. I'll say this: I'm never buying anything from Adata again.
Good for the price but....
Pros: Only $25. You really can't beat that. Pretty compact too; it fits neatly in a really small space on the edge of my desk.
Cons: The cable to to connect the printer to the PC is apparently not included (I didn't get one, and Lexmark tech support says it doesn't come with this model). Lexmark wanted $18 for the cable, so be warned that if you don't have a printer-USB cable, tack on another $18.
