Pros: Now that my AC adapter has arrived after five days, the laptop works fine. It's a good system, played some older games on it, they run great. (Tomb Raider : Anniversary, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, and even Assassin's Creed at medium detail ran pretty well.) For the price, that's impressive.

Cons: Absolutely infested with worthless software that you'll want to uninstall as soon as you get it. One time deal, but still irritating for ~ 45 minutes or so. Though there is a system restore partition (hidden, ofcourse), there is no physical media backup for that partition. The laptop urges you to make one, however this takes an hour and a half and 3 blank DVDs. Not the smoothest system in the world...

Overall Review: For the money, it's a great laptop when it works. I've upped my rating to 4 stars, I'd give it 5 except for the junkware and the non-existant customer service.

Pros: Looks nice. Good components. Will work for 3.6 hours on battery.

Cons: The AC Adapter was dead on arrival. Newegg told me to contact Acer. Acer will gladly replace the dead adapter, either by : 1) Doing an advance swap, but only if you agree to Acer putting a hold on your credit card for a replacement adapter, until they've gotten the old one back. 2) You sending the adapter in, then wait for them to send one back. Even if you choose option 1, you will have to wait "ten business days" for your replacement adapter to arrive. I asked for overnight shipping, was told they could not do so. Ranted until I finally got to speak to a supervisor, who transferred me to tier 2, who transferred me to tier 2 supervisor. Final result of an hour on the phone was that I could get overnight shipping, if I paid for it. You pay 1000 dollars for a laptop, but customer service apparently is not included in that price.

Overall Review: Same thing happened to me with a Dell laptop six years back. The new adapter was shipped to me overnight free of charge and arrived the next day. Dell apparently understands the value of a customer. Acer needs your credit card number to send a replacement adepter, and it takes ten business days. Or, it takes 30 extra bucks to get it a bit faster. Do not buy Acer. Save yourself the grief.

Pros: Finally took the plunge and bought a TV online. Compared models at Ultimate Electronics who wouldn't price match, so bought it from newegg. Image quality is fantastic, the unit looks nice, it's ridiculously easy to set up. For 1249, this is a great buy. Free shipping and no taxes is just icing on the cake. This definitely looks a lot better than my 50" DLP. (which died).

Cons: My sound started crackling and popping after one hour. Seemed to happen no matter what I watched. Didn't feel like dealing with it that day, turned TV back on the next day and it seems to have disappeared completely. Maybe just some dust? It wasn't a bad crackle, but on a 1900 dollar MSRP TV sound should not be crackling. I'm hoping it won't return. Normal picture setting is just a tad too dark for my living room, but I can live with it for a hundred hours, just to make sure there'll be no image retention. It'd be nice if they could make a plasma screen that doesn't suffer from that at some point.

Overall Review: AIT shipping is great. Ordered Sunday, was in Tulsa, OK on Thursday. Called them for delivery, they said Friday, I asked for thursday, they came out just with my TV to the boonies to deliver it. Great service, driver was very courteous, helped me unpack everything and make sure it was in perfect order. Note that you really want two people to get the TV on its stand, as its fairly heavy for a 46" TV. My 50" Samsung DLP weighs maybe half what this thing does. I wouldn't try to lift this TV by myself to get it properly seated on the stand. Remote layout is a bit strange, I keep holding it backwards because looking at it makes it seem more logical to hold it that way. Probably just me. :) I wasn't sure about the 100 hours of "burning in", so I called Panasonic, they said it's not absolutely vital, but definitely recommended. Just keep it on normal picture, don't switch it to vivid for the first 100 hours. All in all, extremely happy with this purchase. Thanks newegg!
