So far so good!

EVGA 132-GT-E768-RX LGA 1366 Intel X58 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 132-GT-E768-RX LGA 1366 Intel X58 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: 3 PCIe ports. My last motherboard (ASUS P6X58D Premium) had three as well but the third was so low on the board that with a full tower you couldn't run SLI in slots 1 and 3. Purchased this board as a replacement so my two graphics cards wouldn't be right next to each other. Works as advertised - I was really concerned based on all the negative reviews, but the fact it has 6 DIMM slots for RAM, 6 USB ports, 2 USB 3 ports, 2 Intel Gigabit ethernet ports made it a nice upgrade for my rig. No problems so far even though it is refurb'd. As another pro, when I upgraded from my last mobo, the BIOS on this one is slightly more advanced and customizable. For whatever reason my last mobo wanted to run my RAM at 1066Mhz instead of 1600Mhz, but that was much easier to fix on this EVGA mobo.

Cons: No major cons so far. The one minor con I have is that the pin slots for your PWR, PWR reset, PLED, etc. was really tough to do right. Not a whole lot of room for your hand, but not problematic enough to warrant a lower rating.

Overall Review: If you are replacing your old mobo, BE SURE TO READ THE FORUMS. I replaced my old mobo with this one thinking my computer would be able to boot up fine. Boy, was I wrong. Windows Seven Forums was infinitely helpful for getting me up and running in the least amount of time possible.

Ran Great - then melted my power cable

Rosewill Xtreme Series RX850-D-B 850W Continuous @40°C ,80 PLUS Certified, ATX12V v2.2 & EPS12V v2.91, SLI Ready CrossFire Ready, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7, i5" Power Supply
Rosewill Xtreme Series RX850-D-B 850W Continuous @40°C ,80 PLUS Certified, ATX12V v2.2 & EPS12V v2.91, SLI Ready CrossFire Ready, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7, i5" Power Supply

Pros: This was a great and reliable power supply for well over a year.

Cons: After I recently purchased another graphics card to run SLI, I kept smelling something funny when I was playing BF3. I couldn't figure out what it was until I looked at my power cable which had practically melted completely off. Now I need to get a new PSU.

Powerful card - going on a year strong!

EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: I've had this card for over a year now and I have to say, it's the best graphics card I've ever owned. For the overwhelming majority of games I've played (and in no particular order): Batman Arkham Asylum, all of the recent COD games, Battlefield 3, Resident Evil 5, Metro 2033, Skyrim, Portal 1 & 2, Crysis 1 & 2, TF2, League of Legends etc. etc. this card has yet to skip a beat in anything and everything I throw at it. Battlefield 3 at 1920x1080 with everything on Ultra, Vsync on, 16X AF, and the like makes the card work its tail off, but if you got a good case with lots of fans and you set your graphics fan speed to kick in earlier than the standard settings you won't run your card hotter than 80 C. It's certainly not the cheapest card out there, but you really get a ton of performance from this one card. I've been tempted to give my card a twin brother, but my case/motherboard layout won't support it :'( See cons for a little comparison to Nvidia's latest GTX 680 card.

Cons: For whatever reason Batman Arkham City has given me some issues with stuttering in game. Even though the Nvidia website says this card should run fine at full everything. However, I haven't played it since the last driver update, so performance very well could have been improved since my last time playing. Only other con would be now it is a year old card - latest GTX 680 uses 25% less power than the 580. Other than that and AF, the 580 stands up to the 680 in overall performance.

Nice Big HD

Western Digital WD Green WD20EARS 2TB 5400 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: 2TB and has 64MB of cache to make this a big HD, but also a fast one. I put it in an enclosure from OWC so that it can do USB 2, FW400 & 800, as well as eSATA, and transfers over FW 800 to my Macbook Pro are speedy, speedy, speedy! Great amount of space and speed for the price

Cons: None so far (thankfully)

Overall Review: I was concerned based off many reviews saying people got DOA drives or ones that died after a few weeks, but I've happily had no such problems. I would definitely recommend that if you do get the drive to not delete any original files you may transfer to it just to make sure you don't lose anything if the drive does go bad after a week or two as a good amount of people have received bad drives.

So easy . . .

Mushkin Enhanced 1GB DDR 400 (PC 3200) Memory for Apple Desktop Model 971130A
Mushkin Enhanced 1GB DDR 400 (PC 3200) Memory for Apple Desktop Model 971130A

Pros: Very easy to install. Popped right in and it was off. Currently have 1 of these 1 GB sticks from Mushkin and 1 512 MB one which came with my iMac G5 1.8 Ghz processor.

Cons: For some reason my computer can't bring up the login menu when I install both 1 GB sticks for a total of 2 GB's and forces me to restart. I'm running over to the apple store to figure out why i can't put both my Mushkin sticks in and hopefully, will be able to have 2 GB of RAM running instead of 1.5 GB.
