Well designed case

Corsair Obsidian Series 450D Black Brushed Aluminum and Steel ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case
Corsair Obsidian Series 450D Black Brushed Aluminum and Steel ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case

Pros: Large space for cable management. Magnetic dust covers. Clean lines. Quiet fans installed by defualt. Plenty of tie down points for Cable Management Space for a LARGE number of water cooling options. Removable HDD tray Plenty of space under the feet for PSU air

Cons: Only one HDD tray installed the 5.25 bay is not easy to remove no way to route cables to bottom on my mobo. case is LARGE

Overall Review: This is a fantastic case. I spend a LOT of time looking for a case. It's has no options for USB 2.0 so if you don't have USB 3 that is something to think about.

Most Critical Review

Not worth it

MSI 970A-G43 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI 970A-G43 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Cheap motherboard. Good layout for the connectors.

Cons: The "Supported" FX-8320 CPU would not boot. It would not display video. Tech support's email told me to reset the BIOS.

Overall Review: I reset the bios numerous times before I contacted MSI tech support. Their forms only told me that this CPU had issue. I attempted to get it to boot with different video cards and had plenty of power. I got video after 10 BIOS and power resets. It would then ask for me to go in to the BIOS to setup. "Entering Setup.." was as far as I got. Forums were not help, and MSI telling me to rest the BIOS was worthless. I have Returned the Motherboard for an ASUS Sabertooth.

Quite and Cool

CORSAIR Hydro Series H90 High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 140mm
CORSAIR Hydro Series H90 High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 140mm

Pros: Very easy to install and works great. My FX-8320 runs at 23C idle and at 75% CPU load it only gets up to about 30C. It's very quite and works great. I have found the Fan to be very quiet.

Cons: The instructions could be a more clear.

Overall Review: Check your case. I had to modify my case to fit the Radiator and Fan together. The instructions are not clear what to set your system for the pump and radiator fan. I put Fan and Pump on CPU FAN and CPU OPT headers. I'm very happy with this system.

Solid PSU

RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: Solid PSU, Modular cables. Toggle switch for PSU LED light

Cons: The 4pin CPU cable is a bit short for cable management cases.

Overall Review: I wanted 90 degree rotation on the Sata Connectors for my Hard drives.

Solid Case

Rosewill CHALLENGER ATX Mid-Tower Gaming PC Computer Case, Expansion Ready: Internal 3.5" Bays & External 5.25" Bays, 3 Pre-installed Fans with Side Fan Mount Option
Rosewill CHALLENGER ATX Mid-Tower Gaming PC Computer Case, Expansion Ready: Internal 3.5" Bays & External 5.25" Bays, 3 Pre-installed Fans with Side Fan Mount Option

Pros: This has good cable management, and plenty of Drive and CD try spaces. The interior paining is solid and did not chip. The side panels are solid. This also has good air flow with silent fans.

Cons: It Could use a little more space behind the motherboard tray for the Molex fan connectors. I also did not get any zip-ties for the cable management. Finally the front panel connectors were almost too short to my system.

Overall Review: The rubber feet on for the PSU came out and got caught in my PSU's fan while installing it. That was the biggest issue. It was an annoyance and something to watch out for.

Very good design

ASUS M4A77D AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4A77D AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Nice layout. Works with my new systems. Good OC abilities, plenty of PCI slots (which is hard to find now) SATA-II. ExpressGate for when you need to be up really fast. Clean Layout, and well designed.

Cons: I didn't automatically push my ram up to 1066 until I set the ram manually. Cant do SLI.

Overall Review: The ExpressGate only works if you have windows installed somewhere, and then it's not that good IMHO. The Sound is a good but it's setup wierd if you have the Audo set to HD instead of AC`97.
