Research Is Key
Pros: This is an outstanding consolidated package with great cooling ability, and fantastic for the potential overclocking Gurus. System runs fantastic and cool at all times with a low demand operation of about 40C. Under game loads (BF2142, FEAR, AA) it runs about 10C hotter. The system is very quiet, except for the sound of moving water.
Cons: The fluid provided was not used, I received good advice Radiator Fluid (5:1 Water/Fluid Ratio) works best. The display does not store user settings and has to be adjusted again, minor issue. Takes up two drive 5" Drive Bays so have the room, but can be stand alone externally. My system loses water, but I assume it is through evaporation since there is no indication of moisture anywhere in my system case
Overall Review: Utilize radiator fluid it has additives to prevent microbial growth which will cause clogging of the lines and pump failure. I check my setup monthly and refill the reservoir and ensure the fittings are secure and no water is leaking. The system is sound and functional for over 6 months. Do not let the people who rate this poor persuade you otherwise. The system works beautifully and the sound of silence is golden.
Pros: Simple, easy, and affordable. Great piece of hardware for first timers in the world of water cooling. It kept the CPU at the same temp as my previous Fan, but the sound of silence made it worth the cost. Good-bye noisy fans, hello sound of silent water.
Cons: The only beef I have had is there is some sort of evaporation taking place. I cannot tell where it is going but it is not pooling anywhere either. It isn't severe, just needed some more fluid after the first 4 months of operation.
Overall Review: Do not use the coolant provided. I did a lot of research before putting fluid in, and was told that good old fashioned car anti-freeze was the best. I mixed it 80/20 and have yet to have a problem with biological build up. If you don't use something with a biocide eventually something will grow.
