Solid SSD
Pros: Cheap and reliable drives. I have purchased 3 of these and never had any issues at all.
Cons: Not the fastest ssd out there but no slouch either.
Looks Nice, Big Let Down
Pros: Good price on sale. Extra long cord for easy working reach. Nice display
Cons: The barrel that holds the tip on will not screw onto the handle. Either the tips supplied with unit are too long or the barrel that slides over the tip to hold it in place is to short. Either way I received a new unit that I can't use out of the box. Also I was unable to find replacement heating elements for this model either here on New Egg or on the manuf, web site. It did come with 1 spare element, hope they last.
Overall Review: I don't think I would buy this unit again or recommend it to anyone. Sad as I have a older X-Tronic station that I have used for nearly 30 years and it still works, just not ESD safe. Seems the quality of their products have gone down over the years.
Great Mount for the price!
Pros: Mount is built very well for the price point. I got it use with my 24" LED monitor but, before it arrived I purchased a 32" LG monitor and was afraid it would not support it. I mounted it to the wall, hung the 32" LG and it didn't even flinch one bit. I'm more than pleased.
Cons: None for me at all.
Overall Review: I'll be purchasing a few more of these in the next couple of months for some of my clients that only require one monitor and I won't have to worry if they will get the job done.
Great SSD for the money !!
Pros: Fast and inexpensive, what more could you want. I have used several Team Group SSDs and have never had a issue with them. The EX2 line has proven to be a very fast drive given the tech and I can't see any standard user needing more performance than they provide.
Cons: None at all.
Overall Review: I would recommend TG drives to others and I'll be purchasing many more over the coming months.
Drive died in 8 Months With hardly any use, RMA Process is a Joke
Pros: Not a bad drive when they work as they should. I have purchased 30 or so different size SP SSD drives in the last year. Mostly used in a external case for moving files and data. My customers like the speed much better than most USB Flash drives.
Cons: When they break is the real issue. You can forget trying to fill out the RMA form on the SP website, you will either get bad model number or bad serial number and it won't allow you to proceed. I also noticed that the model number shown on Neweggs site and on the invoice is no where to be found on the SP site at all. I have a A Five 5(sorry for the strange listing of the model family, Newegg wouldn't allow) 1TB SSD and the model numbers they list for the class and size is nothing close to the number used on Newegg. I have spent the past 4 days trying to reach someone at SP and you can totally forget about calling any of the numbers you may find for U.S. support. Nothing but a total waste of your time. I have had 2 or 3 other SP SSD drives fail but they were 120 or 128 GB and so cheap it wasn't even worth the effort to try and get them replaced. This A Five 5 1TB drive has only been used by me in a laptop that I have only used 4 or 5 times since this drive was purchased and installed. The laptop is only used for 1 client when I need to configure a new switch or test network services. It might at best seen 30 or 40 hours of use including the install time.
Overall Review: I would never advise someone to consider purchasing a SP drive any longer. There are too many good drives out there that support is not a issue at all and even if you pay 3 to 6 bucks more, you will be glad you did if a SP drive ever dies on you and you expect support from them.
Great & Super fast.
Pros: Samsung quality and very fast. I use it for recording from our mixing console. Low profile keeps the chance of getting hit or snagged while in use.
Cons: Nothing at all that I've found.
