Cooling my FX-6300 Overclock

CORSAIR Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Water / Liquid CPU Cooler 120mm (CW-9060010-WW)
CORSAIR Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Water / Liquid CPU Cooler 120mm (CW-9060010-WW)

Pros: The H55 has been MORE than efficient enough to cool my 4.2ghz overclock on my FX-6300. With ambient temperatures in my house reaching over 88 Fahrenheit, I never see my temperatures reach over 40 Celsius under load playing games like War Thunder, Skyrim, and Bioshock Infinite. As well as stress testing with Prime 95 I am using an NZXT Fan controller and keep the fan and pump speeds both at 60% at all times to help keep it quiet. Upping the speed to 100% shows little to no difference in temps but a marked increase in fan and pump noise. That said, it is very quiet compared to the stock cooler for the fx-6300 even with no overclock, it would get a turbine whine running any games or stress tests, and the stock cooler temps had my CPU running up to 64 Celsius.

Cons: It could benefit from a higher quality pressure optimized fan from Corsair.

Most Critical Review

2 Out of 3 were as advertised.

Dell OptiPlex 745 Ultra Small Form Factor All-in-One Set Desktop PC, Core 2 Duo, 1GB RAM, 1TB HDD, DVD-RW, Win 7 Pro
Dell OptiPlex 745 Ultra Small Form Factor All-in-One Set Desktop PC, Core 2 Duo, 1GB RAM, 1TB HDD, DVD-RW, Win 7 Pro

Pros: I ordered 3 of these Core 2 Duo Equipped Dell OptiPlex 745 All In One computers for my Aunt and Uncles small business. 2 of the 3 computers came as advertised with 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo, 1GB DDR2, 1TB HDD, and Windows 7 Pro with working activation Keys. I managed to get them on Shell Shocker with Free shipping. And for under $160, these are some great systems. The monitors look great minus the scratches on the Bezel, and there are typical signs of use on the Mouse and Computer Case's. Which is not a problem at all considering they are refurbished Computers. The Case interiors are very clean, to a point it looks like they are new.

Cons: Now for my gripes, One of the systems came with a Pentium D 3.6ghz ( Single Core) CPU. You might think that a 3.6ghz CPU would be better than a Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz CPU, but you would be wrong in Most cases. Sure the Pentium D would probably handle single threaded applications better than the Core 2 Duo, but I didn't order these computers do only manage one thing at a time. You also need to take into account that the Core 2 Duo's architecture makes it a much more efficient CPU. Toms hardware did some benchmark testing between the two processors and What I am experiencing already in real world, Matches what I am seeing in the benchmarks. The Core 2 Duo is a much better processor and I'm bummed I didn't get what I ordered. The second gripe is, I wish they had put new CMOS battery's in each of the systems. They are CR 2032 battery's for those of you who might be ordering one of these computers. Get one ahead of time and swap it out for the nearly dead one that comes in the computer. When you first boot up, you will get a prompt that System battery voltage is low, press F1 to continue Press F2 for system options. If that battery dies, the CMOS will not remember your boot settings, which can be quite frustrating in a work environment.

Overall Review: I would have sent the Pentium D system back right away to be upgraded to a Core 2 Duo, but My Aunt and Uncle have been needing these computers badly, and cannot take the time to wait for an RMA. We have found a useful location for that system already,

Super fast and inexpensive

Team Color Turn 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive TG032GE902C3
Team Color Turn 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive TG032GE902C3

Pros: This is lightning speed on transfers vs my USB 2.0 flash drives. The price is amazing for such a fast 32gb drive. I use it to transfer movies from my PC to my Smart TV when network streaming does not work.

Cons: I wish it came with a keyring strap.

Overall Review: GET IT!

Super Easy Network Solution

Actiontec PWR200K01 AV200 Powerline Kit Up to 200Mbps

Pros: Excellent connection speeds and super easy setup! My wifi router was not powerful enough to reach my smart TV in my living room, and this Powerline network kit did the trick. Now I can stream all of my favorite media, with no interruptions or issues.

Cons: None yet.

Overall Review: So easy a toddler can do it.
