Pros: Fast, reliable, and durable. Once properly setup, this product is rock solid, and a great way to either backup a desktop computer, or carry extra data with your notebook while traveling. I setup these drives as a primary backup for all my clients, and have purchased dozens of these from NewEgg. All have worked perfectly right out of the box.

Cons: The short cable included (obviously designed for notebook use) is too short for easy use with computers that are sitting on the floor. These drives get really flaky when trying to use a longer cable (see Other Thoughts below). The newer design removed the flap that sealed up the ports on the back, so they are now exposed to the elements when going mobile.

Overall Review: I have set up dozens of these little drives for my clients for use as a primary backup solution. A set of two drives (one for current backup while the other is off site), coupled with cloning software such as Drive Snapshot, is a very cost effective backup solution. Do not attempt to use a longer USB cable with these, as they get really flaky, and sometimes don't even spin up. Instead, get a powered USB hub, and an appropriate USB extension for it to connect to your system. Once the hub is on your desktop, you can easily plug/unplug these drives using the factory cable. A nice side benefit are the handy extra USB ports on your desktop.
