Fast, works with MSI P6N 650i
Pros: Can confirm that this works with MSI P6N SLI Platinum mobo. Running dual channel at 1.9V 4-4-4-15 speed. Easy BIOS adjustment for this speed. Originally recognized and booted up no problem at 1.9V 5-5-5-15. Actally had the benefit of being able to compare this RAM directly with Corsair XMS2 DDR2800 and this OCZ ran (subjectively) faster and noticeably cooler to touch. Nice heatspreader technology. OCZ forums are helpful if you have any questions.
Overall Review: 12 hours of Memtest with perfect results. When you get your RAM, don't open it til you're well-grounded, static-free, and nowhere near those styrofoam "peanuts" they ship with. But you knew that already.
Fails to recognize DVD+R DL discs
Pros: Fast, relatively quiet, lightscribe is sweet, single layer DVD and CD burns are excellent.
Cons: Does not recognize blank DVD+R DL media.
Overall Review: Appear to have wasted money on DL discs, both Verbatim and Memorex, b/c drive doesn't recognize them and thinks they are 700MB cds. Tried with both old (HS06) firmware and then flashed successfully to HS07 - same problem. Given the drive's many great qualities and excellent sinngle layer DVD and CD burning, I won't RMA this one. Already been through that once with exact same problem. Next time I WILL get a different brand, however.
Upgraded to wireless N!
Pros: Absurdly simple setup with cd on a WinXP/Win 7 machine. Despite what a previous review or two stated. Done in <5 minutes. Wirelessly streaming HD video over network to Wii and LG BluRay player now. Excellent performance. Price break ($40-ish or less) makes it worth buying over a new router IMHO.
Cons: None at this time.
Overall Review: Really serves its purpose for me. I see an additional wireless signal with the addition of this device as expected. The first is my original G signal with its SSID. The second is the "new" N signal this device transmits. My wireless N capable devices are then simply connected to that network and voila! higher speed N signal achieved. Streaming NetFlix is outstanding both upstairs and downstairs in large home. I have this device plugged into and sitting right next to my G router with zero issues. Very happy.
Great Media Device
Pros: Exceptional picture. Plays a wide variety of audio and video formats and even more with the purchase of a $20 plugin. Especially happy to have FLAC support out of the box. Many resolutions accepted as well. Wonderful touch screen - very intuitive and cool frankly. Mini leg stand is great for propping up and watching while eating lunch or something. Audio player is excellent and has many options including a graphic equalizer and the ability to shuffle all songs or songs within a folder. There are more that io haven't explored yet. Syncs beautifully with Media Monkey. Web browsing is solid and it plays Flash video unlike the iPod Touch apparently. QWERTY keyboard is easy to use...I have pretty big hands and have had little trouble navigating this device. I wowed some iPod owning friends with this one.
Cons: I guess having to pay for an extra plug-in or two for the complete experience. Wouldn't want to surf the web for 4 hours with a device like this. Weak external speaker, but the fact that it even HAS one...can't dock a star for this.
Overall Review: I highly recommend the $20 - $25 mini-dock. Its unbelieveable! Output to your TV! Input from a digital camera directly to your Archos! Charge the Archos in less than half the time it takes for USB! This is an awesome device. Frankly speaking this device is a downloader's dream. If you download a lot of audio and video content from the web and literally want to drag and drop it onto a beautiful media device, this is the product for you. Xvid, DivX, FLAC, WMV, etc etc....its played everything I've thrown at it except .MKV files. I just convert those. Couldn't be happier with this baby.
Very useful time saver
Pros: Correctly diagnosed a dead OCZ GameXsrtream 600W (1.5 yrs old). Verified PSU tester works by testing a spare Antec I had laying around that I knew was in perfect working order. Passed with flying colors. Glad to see connections for sata/molex/floppy, as well as 20/24 pin and 4/8 pin power. As a budding builder I'll be using this more frequently.
Cons: Like others, instructions were not great. Thanks to other reviewers for clearing up the confusion. Essentially you plug in your PSU's 20/24 pin power and 4/8 pin power (like a mobo), then you can test anything else one connector at a time.
Overall Review: Inexpensive and useful. An essential tool for builders.
Solid for a year now
Pros: All the connectors you need, price, power, quiet.
Cons: None really. Blue light may take a little getting used to for some.
Overall Review: Just wanted to post back that this PSU has met all my expectation and then some. Its not powering a monster machine, but its not bad either: C2D E4300 OCed to 3.0GHz, 7600GT, MSI P6N Platinum, PCI slot cooler, several 120mm fans...just can't beat the price/performance here.
