ASUS ROG G751 series - 17.3" FHD - Intel Core i7-4860HQ - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M - 32GB Memory DDR3L 1600 - 512 GB SSD (PCIEG2) SSD - Windows 8.1 64-Bit ()

Pros: 1080p IPS display - Not only do games and movies look great, color reproduction is awesome for Photoshop and other similar stuff. I was considering a model with a 4k display but after seeing one in person and how horrible Windows scaling is I'm totally happy with 1080p. Boot times - lees than 20 seconds on a cold boot Cooling - After a few hours of BF4 the CPU maxed at 69c and the exterior was barely warm GTX 980M - Tried a few different games and and the FPS never dropped below 60 so everything plays really smooth. Also the GTX 9xx series uses less power than the 700 series so less heat and battery life is very reasonable.

Cons: Keyboard is a little different than I'm used to but not really a con plus the backlighting is a really nice feature.

whats going on Linksys???

LINKSYS BEFSR41 EtherFast Cable/DSL Router with 4-Port Switch 1 x 10/100Mbps WAN Ports 4 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports
LINKSYS BEFSR41 EtherFast Cable/DSL Router with 4-Port Switch 1 x 10/100Mbps WAN Ports 4 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports

Pros: none anymore

Cons: Won't stay connected for more than five minutes, internet stays connected but keeps dropping the LAN.

Overall Review: I had a older BEFSR41 ver 3 that worked great for years but this new ver 4.3 is junk. Maybe if they came out with a new firmware it might help but for now I'm avoiding Linksys.

Money well spent

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 - Core 2 Duo Wolfdale Dual-Core 2.8 GHz LGA 775 65W Desktop Processor - BX80571E7400
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 - Core 2 Duo Wolfdale Dual-Core 2.8 GHz LGA 775 65W Desktop Processor - BX80571E7400

Pros: running at 4Ghz with only a small voltage bump. Temps are 34c/50c using a True 120. Was going to get the E8400 but glad I spent the money I saved on a better GPU.

Cons: Stock HSF isn't the best but if your overclocking you should be getting a better one anyways.

Overall Review: I also have a E5200 chip and clock for clock(both @3.4Ghz) the E7400 gets about 10% better benchmark scores.

best sub $100 card around

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 100265HDMI
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 100265HDMI

Pros: Good cooling - stays under 50c at load On-board HDMI with good audio - looks great on my 42" Samsung LCD at 1080P Don't need a huge PSU - Corsair 450w is more than enough

Cons: see below, just a minor glitch

Overall Review: If your using DVI on a older LCD and it doesn't work at first use a VGA cable and install the drivers and then your DVI will work just fine.

Antec is still the best

Antec TruePower 2.0 TP2-550 EPS12V 550 W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Power Supply
Antec TruePower 2.0 TP2-550 EPS12V 550 W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: I replaced my Modstrem with this and am very happy with it. Very stable PSU with every connector needed for any AMD or Intel setup. My system specs: FX-57 Asus NF4 SLI 2X 7800GTX 2x 74G Raptors 2X 400G Seagate SATA2 Plextor DVD-RW

Cons: I wish all the cables ware sleeved, not just the ATX one. More just me being lazy but it would be nice.

HighPoint RocketRAID 100 PCI IDE Controller Card
HighPoint RocketRAID 100 PCI IDE Controller Card

Pros: Easy install, have 2 250gig drives connected to it and it's as fast as the onboard IDE controler.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Just make sure you install the card frist with no drives connected.
