Requires Drill and Tap to Install

Pros: Cost was right.
Cons: Requires a 6-32 UNC tap to replace an existing mechanical hard drive. The included hardware will fit a laptop sized SSD, but this adapter is meant to install a new SSD in place of a mechanical hard drive in a desktop. The side holes and screws are too small for this use.
Does not work well on FreeBSD 10

Pros: Low cost and has 2 Ethernet and 2 comm ports. Seems to work well on Win7 when the drivers are downloaded from the Gigabyte website. The drivers on the included CD are worthless.
Cons: FreeBSD 10 seems to have a problem starting all of the CPU's. On most boot-ups it kernel panics when starting CPU's other than the first one. The auto-reboots usually start OK after the first panic. The latest version of Xorg in the ports system: X.Org X Server 1.12.4 Release Date: 2012-08-27 [ 25.368] X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0 [ 25.368] Build Operating System: FreeBSD 10.0-STABLE amd64 Does not have a video driver for the Intel graphics chip on the motherboard. It runs in VESA mode. The Realtek ALC887 HDA CODEC is seen by the operating system but neither OSS nor Pulseaudio can use the chip: Version info: OSS 4.2 (b 2009/201406161815) (0x00040100) BSD.
Overall Review: I will reinstall my 3 year old motherboard in this PC and put this Gigabyte on the shelf for a future project that doesn't require X or audio. It is not worth the expense and effort to return this board to Newegg for credit. This motherboard does not meet my needs.
Bracket needs to be re-drilled

Pros: The price was right.
Cons: The side holes were not drilled and tapped for a 'plug and play' replacement of a desktop hard drive. I needed to redrill and tap the side holes for 6-32 UNC threads. The desktop was a Dell and the existing mount pins would not fit the new bracket.
