Most Favorable Review

A well built beautiful tank (may be a QC lottery though).

MSI MEG Z690 ACE DDR5 LGA 1700 Intel Z690 SATA 6Gb/s Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI MEG Z690 ACE DDR5 LGA 1700 Intel Z690 SATA 6Gb/s Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Looks. Build. Bios.

Cons: It is big, will fit in less cases. QC (1st one had issues).

Overall Review: Easily the sexiest board I've ever had. I was worried about how the gold/black would be but it's not tacky at all, very sleek. My first foray into an MSI bios and it's by far the best I've ever worked in. The ez debug is very nice and valuable, it's a shame that it costs so much to get a board with one these days. The heatsinks are massive. There's even a nice protective plate in the bottom of the board to precent damage while installing. I had bad luck with mine, as it started not booting the vga past POST (white led stays on). Awaiting my RMA replacement excitedly as this thing is just sweet in so many ways. Also: comes with so many nice, premium (unneeded?) accessorys as well. Home run MSI. Just be sure to stress test and eyeball over. Ps: this thing fits an a Lian li evo (non-xl) perfectly! It's a big board, everywhere I read said Lian li evo doesn't really do eATX well, but this thing fits perfectly, not cramped at all.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service!

Vantec NexStar 2.5"/3.5" SATA to USB 2.0 & eSATA & FireWire 400 & FireWire 800 Hard Drive Dock - Model NST-D100FBSU
Vantec NexStar 2.5"/3.5" SATA to USB 2.0 & eSATA & FireWire 400 & FireWire 800 Hard Drive Dock - Model NST-D100FBSU

Pros: Works fine with 2TB drives. If you bought an older model, you're sorry out of luck.

Cons: No support. Very rude customer service who don't care at all about their customers.

Overall Review: Have owned this $70 dock for about 3 years and never had a problem with any drives less than 3TB. Finally upgraded to a 3TB drive (when I bought it I remember it being advertised as supporting 3TB drives. Even on their website it claims to support 4TB drives!) Upon insertion of my new 3TB drive it could not be recognized. I read around and saw that I probably needed a firmware upgrade. Called Vantec and was greeted by a very rude person who talked over me and pretended that I didn't know what I was talking about, which I do. He said that if it was newer they could update the firmware but because my serial number started with a 5 instead of a 6, no go. I told him, "so you're telling me that I have to get a new dock, just to access another TB of data?" and without blinking or concern for myself he said, "yes". No apologies or anything. Vantec owes their customers more than this. So if I had been lucky enough to buy a dock with a 6 serial number instead of a 5, I'd be covered? Absolute garbage! Thanks for nothing, Vantec. I work in IT and will be advising all of my customers to stay as far away from this "company" as possible. They clearly have no interest in serving their customers. I would give it no eggs, but 1 is the lowest you can go. You make a product, you should stand by it, especially for how expensive these run.

Fits eATX perfectly!

LIAN LI O11 EVO RGB White Aluminum / Steel / Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ----O11DERGBW
LIAN LI O11 EVO RGB White Aluminum / Steel / Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ----O11DERGBW

Cons: Costly. No fans. Upright kit/cable is laughably overpriced.

Overall Review: This thing is STUNNING. The rgb is tasteful, you can dim it a lot, wish there were more options for the transitional colors, some of them are pretty gauche. Biggest thing for me is that it DOES fit eATX boards fine, without issue. Used with an MSI z690 ace eATX and not only does it fit but there's not much over hang AND it fits perfect with their upright GPU kit, not cramped at all. Recommending for anyone looking to do a nice, cool, sleek white build. Do know, that it is much bigger in footprint than you'd think. I never saw the xl version but this certainly feels pretty xl, which is good if you have too. Finally: the inverse assembly option is so sweet! A real head turner.
