what's under your hood?

Pros: 800 mhz fsb,dual core,2x2 L2 cache,easy install,execute disable bit,64 bit support,awesome bang for the buck.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Not sure why so many people have problems with the stock hsf, installed very easy(read directions)and runs around 50-61c with no overclocking(rated by intel to max out at 69c)This cpu runs as advertised-very good multitasker.Very likely the best choice for the money.(unless you're a die hard amd user)
excellent value!

Pros: Very overclockable, but runs as good as hyper-x at stock speed.Very forgiving & manageable with timings
Cons: not one.
Overall Review: Like the guy before me, I was unsure about this brand 'cause I hadn't heard much about it.Dropped these into an msi p6n plat sli and they ran fine at default, but really began to breathe when I adjusted to 4-4-4-11-14(not overclocked).Easily as good as brands twice as much.
awsome board

Pros: too many features to list....went from an intel mb running single channel pc2700 off an ati express chipset to this-lowered all temps approx. 20c,and gave an instant 30% performance boost even without sli.
Cons: none-very pleased.
Overall Review: I hate to see an excellent product get a bad review. Many people complain that these don't post, well they obviously don't know that this board does a 16 phase system diagnosis every startup, and if any faulty hardware is connected,it wont boot. The previous guy had the same result I did,but I hooked up the handy usb/led diagnosis card that was included(retail version)and found I had a bad floppy.Unhooked it,and system booted no problem. Make no mistake, for the money, this is by far the best board I've come across.
awesome box

Pros: the price,two 120mm fans,many hdd slots(and disc drive bays),plenty of space inside,cpu & pci-e vents,overall design
Cons: the add-on card slots didn't line up perfectly, had to modify somewhat.....may be my motherboard, but this case is designed for both atx & micro atx.
Overall Review: excellent choice for the money.ran a system stress test after hooking up,and everything runs 12c cooler than before(used a dell dimension box previously)
midheavyweightcard

Pros: pci-e x16,gddr3,7900 gpu,a multitude of graphics filters(shader&pixel 3.0,etc.)easily overclockable with nvidia software
Cons: with stock cooling this card will heat a small room on a cold day-had mine in a poorly ventilated desk, but changed that quickly, and now won't go over 60c.
Overall Review: best bang for the buck-the harder you push this card, the better it performs.runs at almost the same fps on most of my games comparing 1024x768 to 1280x1024.especially with all quality features enabled.look for this card on sale-I found it at the price of a 7600 gt(sorry newegg)and it runs circles around anything with an inferior gpu.
wait a minute

Pros: mentioned before
Cons: none
Overall Review: I stand corrected-I tried to use the driver supplied for the onboard graphics & lost interest quickly, but decided to try downloading the latest from intel, and hypermemory was enabled giving me 512mb total video allocation(from system memory)on most games I can't get below 20fps using a pentium d.vpu isn't good enough for doom 3 or other pixel & vertex shader intense games.but battlefield vietnam never slows down.definitely a good choice if you can't afford your high end pci-e video card right now.
