Great RAM! A+++
Pros: What's not to like, 32GB of ram with much better timings then most of the other 32GB ram kits out right now. Very fast, working great. I've always been happy with Mushkin ram.
Cons: Price is a little higher then other 32GB 1600mhz kits but its worth it, don't cheap out with the other kits that have junk timings.
Overall Review: I have a ASUS P9X79 mobo and a core i7-3820. I was a little hesitant about this kit since it's a new product and there was no reviews yet along with memory not being on ASUS' QVL list but i had no problems at all. I used the OC tuner feature instead of the XMP setting that everyone recommends, it picked up the correct timings no problem after running that but clocked it down to 1333mhz. Manually adjusted it back to 1600mhz and its been running rock solid.
DOESN'T FIT LGA 2011 SOCKET
Pros: pure copper fins, no brackets to mess with, looks like a good quality product
Cons: The specs indicate that this heak sink is only compatible with the lga 2011 socket. Apparantly they mean the "other" lga 2011 socket or the engineer that took the measurements just had a really off day when designing this thing and didnt bother to test it on lga 2011 compatible motherboard. ***THIS WILL NOT FIT THE LGA 2011 SOCKET, it's not even in the ballpark!
Overall Review: my mobo: ASUS P9X79 deluxe. ...This heatsink should be pulled off the shelves.
cheap quality thermal grease...
Pros: umm... it's slightly better then what's caked on an oem heatsink
Cons: Poor excuse for thermal grease. The reason why those of you who bought this cant seem to tell the difference in temp compaired to whatever you were using before is because it's not a whole lot better then the stuff thats caked on an oem heatsink.
Overall Review: What you need to look for when buying thermal grease is the thermal conductivity, measured in w/mK. This junk measures 3.1 W/mK. Quality, highly thermally conductive thermal grease should be more then double this.
