Great Card.........Needs Great AirFlow
Pros: Looks beefy, nice strong metal casing and decent size. Runs like a champ, most games with max settings and when things are getting busy on the screen, it will still give you 100+fps.
Cons: Dual fans pretty much tell you this card will run hot, not a whole lot hotter but noticeable. Running dual monitor's will add 5-15c more also, which is normal but just a side note. (1 monitor is a Asus 23' and the 2nd is a 37" Toshiba) 31-35c (idle) = 1 Monitor 44-48c (idle) = 2 Monitors I am aware that my 2nd monitor is a large tv, which is why there is probably a large jump in temps so if you have something smaller, then your temps should be less. It is a good idea to d/l Asus SmartDoctor and setup the Smart Cooling option in the settings and get more airflow. Current setup for SmartCooling is: 43c = Fastest 39c = Fast 33c = Medium 32c = Slow 40c (idle) = 2 Monitors w/Smart Doctor Enabled The dual fans get really loud but your temps will make a huge difference. I don't really use this unless I am gaming because of the noise but don't notice when my headphones are on.
Overall Review: Its a awesome card, but feel that if buyers aren't aware of the heating, they may damage the card. Which would explain why a few reviews on here stated their card died after a few months. Not saying that is the case for all of them, just might be a factor. So put a lil money into a few extra fans to avoid any complications later on.
