Absolutely necessary for those with multiple 2.5" drives
Pros: Allows for quick testing and utilization of multiple 2.5" drives on the fly. Also you can't really beat the price.
Cons: The installed drive seems to slip off the eSATA connection sometimes, it only takes a quick re-adjustment to fix it. The cable doesn't seem the most secure, but like any external drive with a detachable cable refrain from moving it around especially during transfers.
Overall Review: I've recently had to pull some drives from an old/destroyed computer, this let me test them to see if they were still any good. It's been great having it available and knowing I'm able to swap out for a different drive at anytime is awesome. Also the complaints about it using a proprietary cable is untrue. I've used multiple high capacity WD external drives (4+ TB) that used the exact same cable.
Worked once
Pros: Features are easily accessible and responsive.
Cons: -poor build quality, screen broke after my first use -no easy way to disassemble/repair it if something breaks -no battery included
Overall Review: I wish it was a little more durable, broke on me during a crucial moment I needed a thermometer. I suggest investing in something more robust and skipping on this one.
Looks nice, but I can't use it
Pros: Came as advertised, exactly what I ordered. Build quality is fair, this is simply an enclosure with an eSATA controller to USB nothing fancy.
Cons: Malfunctioning. My computer reads the device, but it cannot be utilized. Tested it on two separate Macs.
Overall Review: Shipping takes a while, but that's to be expected it's clearly stated that this is an overseas shipment. If you don't like waiting 2 weeks for your products to arrive, look elsewhere.
Great board
Pros: Responsive and impressive design. The keys have the "right feel" I was looking for in a keyboard, both in the tactility of the keys and the responsiveness.
Cons: Not really a con, but strangely enough the USB port on the side is upside-down? Just found it odd, but its been great so far.
Snappy, needs some work
Pros: Extremely fast, great price, decent storage.
Cons: Took some work to get it working on my rig. The OS was recognizing the drive, but not the BIOS. Solution: ENABLE TRIM SUPPORT. If your OS or BIOS doesn't support TRIM, it's simple enough to find a free app to enable it. Should clear everything up. Also get the firmware update from the Intel website, just in case.
Overall Review: Go for it, its at a great price right now.
Great Backpack, Very Reliable
Pros: Fits everything I need and provides great protection for my laptop. Plenty of room for extra stuff I don't need.
Cons: Not really a con, but it's not extraordinarily comfortable, it does get the job done though.
Overall Review: So far, in a day, I've stuff this thing with 3 days worth of clothes, random art supplies, and my laptop. Surprisingly each compartment held together quite well and my machine (in its own compartment) didn't feel crushed at all. To clarify there are 2 large padded compartments where you can place your laptop or tablet, a slightly smaller compartment for books and pens, a really small zip-up pocket in the front, and of course the mesh bottle holster. The padding on the bottom is amazing simply because it exists. Most $70 bags have absolutely no padding to protect your machine. I've managed to confidently plop this bag from about a couple inches off of the ground knowing my laptop was perfectly safe. Not that I would recommend tossing this bag around with your computer inside, just know if it was to suddenly drop from about ankle height your stuff will be protected. Solid construction and there's also a vent on the padding that comes in contact with your back for hot days. At least I assume that's what it's for, I own hydration backpacks (Camelbak) with a similar feature.
