AZiO BTD603-132 USB 2.0 Bluetooth Adapter (Class 1 v. 2.0)
AZiO BTD603-132 USB 2.0 Bluetooth Adapter (Class 1 v. 2.0)

Pros: I have already mention the pros, but I just installed the software it came with (Just to give it a try). It is a Toshiba Bluetooth Stack v. 5.10.08. With the software, there are lots more options you can configure. It enables a lot of features such as bluetooth ethernet, finer security settings, etc. My Palm Treo 680 connected, but took some time to be able to figure out how to sync it (see below). My Jabra BT 125 headset works perfectly once paired.

Cons: The built-in help could be more complete. It is pretty good to figure out simpler things, but not much on the advanced front.

Overall Review: Compared to the generic Windows bluetooth drivers, the software is more complete. But it is not clear how to sync your PDA with it. Hidden in the help, under activesync, they tell you to use port COM7. Palm desktop requires a virtual serial port and it seems that the software automatically sets port COM7 to be a virtual serial port. I wish they had that written in bold somewhere in the main window. Spent 2 hours to figure that out. Once Palm desktop was set to sync to port COM7 (after adding the computer as trusted device on my palm), all went smooth. I hope this helps some poor soul that stumbled upon the same problem.

Nice looking printer

HP Color LaserJet 3800N Workgroup Up to 22 ppm 600 x 600 dpi Color Print Quality Color Ethernet (RJ-45) / LPT / USB Laser Printer
HP Color LaserJet 3800N Workgroup Up to 22 ppm 600 x 600 dpi Color Print Quality Color Ethernet (RJ-45) / LPT / USB Laser Printer

Pros: The best feature of this printer is it's looks. Next best thing is the ease to access and replace the consumables. Nice built-in Ethernet port with built-in web server. You can access everything you need from your browser. Overall the printer is pretty fast. Came with full capacity toner cartridges! Controls are pretty intuitive.

Cons: Very flimsy manual tray. The design of the manual feed is too complex and too many small (fragile) moving parts. For sure will not be able to take abuse and I don't think it would be able to do 65k pages from the manual feed tray. The stardard paper tray is relatively small for a big printer. The output tray needs an extension to hold the paper or it may interfere with the pages comming out. No Printed manual.

Overall Review: I have mixed feelins on the HP technical support. It's an OK as long as you don't use the manual feed often.

it's an iron..

Panasonic NI-R54NR Steam Iron with Vertical Steam and Automatic Retractable Cord Reel
Panasonic NI-R54NR Steam Iron with Vertical Steam and Automatic Retractable Cord Reel

Pros: Has a retractable cord. Has some nice safety and steam features. Build quality seems pretty good.

Cons: If you leave the iron on "steam" and tilt or turn it off, then it will leak. The steam is not quite strong enough to use as a steamer.

just works

Panasonic ES-4025SC Sonic-2 Men's Pro-Curve Wet/Dry Shaver
Panasonic ES-4025SC Sonic-2 Men's Pro-Curve Wet/Dry Shaver

Pros: It is washable and works wet.

Cons: It does not shave very close, a razor will do a much better job as expected. The main problem is that it cannot handle longer hairs. If you haven't used the shaver in 3-4 days, forget it, use a razor.

Overall Review: It is cheap and good for when you have little time and will do just good enough of a job. Won't cut those neck hairs.

Decent card reader

Koutech IO-RC320 3-in-1 USB 2.0 SD/MMC/MS MINI CARD READER
Koutech IO-RC320 3-in-1 USB 2.0 SD/MMC/MS MINI CARD READER

Pros: Pretty compact unit that you can take with you. It works!

Cons: It is kinda bulkier than it could have been. Might take 2 USB spaces as you can deduce by the pictures. There are no little pretty pictures to show you how the SD/MS card should be inserted. That said, you can't put a SD card upside down.

Overall Review: I have not tried it with a memory stick since I don't have one. I have been testing the speed and for some reason I only achieve 3.5 MB/s using either normal or 50X SD cards. I tried plugging it in directly (USB 2.0) or though USB hub and it gives me the same result. It measures 3" x 1 3/8" x 1/2".

I am impressed

AZiO BTD603-132 USB 2.0 Bluetooth Adapter (Class 1 v. 2.0)
AZiO BTD603-132 USB 2.0 Bluetooth Adapter (Class 1 v. 2.0)

Pros: Easy setup. WinXP SP2 detected the device and used generic bluetooth drivers. It works great so far with the generic drivers. It paired easily with my Palm treo 680 and my Jabra BT 125 headset. The finish on the device is of a very nice rubbery mate black, I love it! The blinking blue light is so low that it is not distracting, just lets you know it is working. It is small enough that it does not interfere with the neighboring USB plugs. It is cheap!

Cons: The cap to protect the USB port has nowhere to stay when it is plugged in.

Overall Review: I have not installed the drivers it came in with, so far it is working fine without them. The manual is pretty useless as expected. It is a great value, it is cheaper than buying the palm treo sync cable. Now I can sync wireless!
