No RGB, Plain jane workstation MB.
Pros: I needed a regular MB without all the RGB stuff to build a workstation PC. I do not game on it and do graphic design/3D rendering with it. To that, it works perfectly and the only problem I ran into was that it didn't play well with G.Skill Aegis 3200 ddr4. I believe it was just a bad stick but that was about it. Win10 and all drivers loaded up fast and I was up and running from swap to boot in about 30 min. As far as performance, I couldn't be happier. My average 3D rendering went from 30-40 min down to 2-4 minutes! Wow! Ryzen 3700x MSI B450-A Pro MAX Crucial Ballistix 3200 BFG Nvidia GTX 275 (upgrading next) A few Samsung 860 EVO's Win10 Pro
Cons: The only con I can speak to is the M2 slot. It's just 1 slot and it's PCIe 3.0. So you cant take advantage of the newer NVME sticks coming out. It's still quick but that's what you get when you don't go with the x570 chipset. I knew that going in and that's why I can't really call it a con. Just more FYI if you didn't pay attention to the specs.
Overall Review: overall, it's a great board if you don't need that absolute newest and fastest and don't want RGB. For stability and workstation builds, it's a hard MB to pass up.
Pros: I've always had good luck with G.Skill and Ive used them for a very long time.
Cons: One stick keep the build from even booting. Swapped slots/sticks and one stick works, one doesn't. It's just a bad stick. Electronics are a roll of the dice and we all get got sometimes. It was my turn today.
Overall Review: Overall, I've used G.Skill exclusively and have had one other failure in over 15 years. Pretty good record IMHO. I can't say I'll go with the same style but will probably go with G.Skill ripjaws.
Took the chance and I dont regret it
Pros: I'll say this first, Ive been an Intel person since the 370 socket. Sadly, my last build was I-2700k and it was way past time for an upgrade. I'm not a gamer anymore so I cant speak to how it performs in that aspect. I won't sit here and talk about overclocking, temps and all that stuff. There's plenty of reviews like that on here already. What I will talk about is from a work station stance, it's night and day. My 3D rendering times have dropped from 30-40 minutes to 2-4 minutes! That savings just in time is worth the price of admission. I didn't buy the best/fastest because I don't need to. I need stability and something that saves me time. This cpu definitely does that. Cons: I wish I would have just bought it sooner, if you could consider it a con.
Overall Review: Overall, after a few more upgrades, I'll have a workstation that'll last at least for the foreseeable future. One of my other deciding factors is the rumored chip/socket change coming from intel.
Pros: This bridge was the answer to my problems. It has saved me from running cat5 across the house. I have my bridge hooked up to a tv, blu-ray, ps3, HTPC and has not skipped a beat yet. I have not had to power cycle it or anything. There was no problem with connecting it to my wireless router or my components bogging down when doing firmware updates or accessing the internet. It has been a set it and forget it piece of hardware-and that's what it's supposed to do!
Cons: absolutely none
Overall Review: Some people may have had issues with it and that's a given in the world of electronics. But as far as my experience with this bridge goes, I would have no problem buying another one or recommending it to family or friends.
Pros: I got this case because I needed a full tower and I needed to be able to hold a lot of HDD's. It does do that. Air flow is very good.
Cons: No filter system what so ever. The hole in the mobo tray does not line up for changing HSFs. I have already filled this thing up and now I'm stuck. I will be going to a 4u rack mount case that can hold twice as many drives and take up a lot less room.
Overall Review: for as much as I spent on this case I would have like to seen a few more features. Yes, it is a full tower and yes they threw in a few over-sized fans but I could have done without them. I would have like to seen a power bar in the case to further help with cable management. There's cheaper cases that offer it! I may just be complaining over small stuff short of the lack of filtration. It is big and the majority of people will be happy with their purchase.
