Passes the basics

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W650 16.1 MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD (Black)
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W650 16.1 MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD (Black)

Pros: First of all the size of this is about the same as a credit card and maybe double the thickness of your typical smartphone without a case/protector. Powers on in seconds, is taking excellent photos. This is a 'quickshot' type of camera though, it's not a professional level device. So long as you purchase with that in mind I believe you'll be happy with it. If you want a instant on camera this isn't the one you want. I would say it's between 2.3 and 3 seconds to hit the button and take a shot. You then get a shot about every 3 seconds or so. I took a few macro shots and they were crisp and clear much to my surprise I actually didn't expect the quality I got. The controls are simple and easy to figure out. (I haven't had to look at the manual for anything) A name brand 8 gig mk2 mem stick ran me about 30 bucks at office depot (because I forgot to order it from newegg) The video is acceptable in 'fine' setting it's passable 720p. I don't know why the lower settings even exist really. You'll want the mk2 mem stick for that as well. The panorama and other built in features all work as I expected them too. Color balance can also be tweaked, which is generally required for perfect indoor color. Unless you have natural light already.

Cons: I think I got carried away and covered most of this in pros. It is small. Smaller than I expected. Pro it fits in pretty much any pocket without trouble. Con - It could prove hard to keep up with. I don't like the design of the battery charger that much. I would have preferred something with a cord. It charges reasonably quickly aside from that.

Overall Review: My expertise is in computers. I only purchase cameras for events, family gatherings/holidays, and travel. This is my reason for putting tech at average. I paid 80 dollars for mine here on newegg (110 if you count the good mem stick) At that price it's money well spent. The condition it arrived in was perfect as well. Had they not labeled it a refurb it's unlikely I would have ever known. I even got the joy of peeling the protective film off the screen.

Excellent

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 015-P3-1580-AR
EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 015-P3-1580-AR

Pros: Plays everything I throw at it without complaint. First card I've ever owned where changing the aa setting made an immediate and noticeable impact as well. Went to this from a XFX ATI 5850 which is also a decent card, but somehow still blown away by this card. The two big breakers were Battlefield 3 and Batman Arkham City the gtx580 delivers a picture that is just in a completely different category. In a vast majority of other games the difference becomes smaller. Until you go back to older Valve source engine type games (dx9) where you honestly can no longer tell them apart.

Cons: As with any high end graphics device these days the drivers and related software have gotten fairly complicated. I suggest looking into updating your .net framework through windows update as well downloading the latest version of direct x you can find before installing the latest driver. I would say this if it were an ATI card as well though. They've made the control panel/center very dependent on the .net framework 3.5+

Overall Review: I've been very happy with this card, over the years I have owned many from both ATI and Nvidia over the years. While it is true that while I write this the 7970 from ati does have more raw muscle than this card. I can only base that on the specs I haven't personally seen one in action. At any rate I've always in general liked evga for nvidia branded gear and XFX for the ati branded. Neither of them has ever let me down even when I was forced to deal with XFX for a RMA... they made it right, good company.

A good board

ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Purchased mine about 2 months ago from a local retailer as I needed an immediate replacement I couldn't wait on delivery (sorry newegg) I paired the board with a 2600k and 16 gigs of g.skill. It overclocks well, the bridges even stay within reasonable temps which is something I'm not used to seeing on my intel boards. I've been building my own rigs for a long time now, I have not been this happy with a board since socket 478 was the standard. DO get a small ssd to make use of the rapid storage caching. Or if you have the means get a larger ssd for a boot drive. I have no experienced any problems outside of asrock having outdated drivers on their site causing me to go hunting. (this is something you just get used to when you build your own machines though) Also it has shown to be very quick at video conversion (same cpu/ram was on previous board conversion time has been nearly cut in half though)

Cons: Short list of fully supported memory. Asrock has outdated drivers for the intel 3000hd that causes bluescreens with certain power plans in windows 7. You'll need to grab the updated driver directly from intel. Not a 'beginner' board

Overall Review: Setup was complicated mildly by having to read a memory dump in windbg then driver hunting, this cost the 1 egg, DO get a small ssd to make use of the rapid storage caching. Or if you have the means get a larger ssd for a boot drive. Outside of that I have had no complaints about this board. It has functioned well for Gaming, Video editing/conversion (it's studly at this if you take the time to set it up properly) if this is your first personal build I would go with the MSI Z68A-G43 instead. It's a bit cheaper but covers all the same basics, and MSI live update is pretty good at handling driver problems for you.

Still going Strong

ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers
ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers

Pros: I just had to come back and say how glad I was I purchased this monitor. It's been a little over a year now and there has been no loss of color or brightness and still no sign of dead pixels. I can not stress enough, it is very unlikely you will find a better monitor for the money.

Cons: It remains that the monitor does not lean foward well because of the design of the stand. This has not been a problem for me personally as I don't keep the monitor elevated above me, but may affect some users.

Overall Review: When it says glossy black... it's only referring to the border, not the screen itself. Many people seem to confuse this and not purchase the monitor believing it has a highly reflective screen. It does not.

It works

Cables Unlimited - High Speed HDMI Cable - 6 FEET
Cables Unlimited - High Speed HDMI Cable - 6 FEET

Pros: It's an hdmi cable, I don't really know what else to say, it's handling the line from my 5870 ati card into my 24 inch asus monitor. With better rate and quality than the dual link dvi cable I initially tried on the same set up. That being said, spending this little money I doubt you can really expect any more. The cable seems well constructed and properly insulated.

Cons: I can not really come up with any, though I admit I've only had it for a few days now.

Impressed so far

ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers
ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers

Pros: For the money spent I'm more than satisfied with this monitor. Though warned the stand was cheap and it would not lean forward in other reviews here, I don't really know what people expect in this spending bracket for a monitor this size. It more than meets my requirements though. It does lean forward just not to an extreme. If you aren't setting it five feet above your head I don't think it'll prove to be a problem. Arrived with no dead pixels or other apparent problems. Giving 4 stars simply because the short time I've owned it does not lend to a credible 5 star rating.

Cons: Having plugged it into both, I highly suggest using the hdmi if your graphics card supports it. The dvi input seems to lead to some blurring in high motion video/gaming.

Overall Review: First time newegg has been slow on my shipping, that's not really anything against the monitor itself I just thought I would mention it.
